Summary: She might want a kiss before the end of the song.
Song inspiration: Lovers Rock - Tv Girl
A/N: For my dearly beloved friend @winters-witch-bitch <3 happy birthday :))
âCmon, Natasha, itâll be fun,â you whined, attempting to pull the older womanâs hand along. The redhead was too heavy for you to lift as you struggled to pull her up.
You had tried everything to cheer her up. The blip hurt everyone but seeing Natashaâs tough act crumble was unbearable. You tried taking her shopping, but she wasnât very interested, so you tried the park and some ice cream, but nothing seemed to work.
This was your last attempt to try and cheer her up. The redhead had been hesitant about your idea, but after some time, she gave in.
âAlright, alright,â she finally said, getting tired of seeing you struggle so much. You squealed in excitement as you swiftly shuffled over to the record player that sat on your desk. Natasha had bought it for your birthday after having to listen to you ramble on about it.
You put on a simple slow song to set the mood as you turned back to the redhead with an ever-growing smile. There wasnât anything special about the music itself; you simply wanted to dance with your favorite person. So you drew out your hand as Nat reluctantly took it, pulling you closer to her, hand resting on your lower back.
There was a comfortable silence as the two of you swayed to the music, your head on her shoulder as she held you close. You shifted to be able to see Natasha as she stared down at you, watching your reactions closely.
You watched as she softly grinned at you. She pulled back and delightfully surprised you with a twirl. The redhead kept you close, a hand on your back, pulling you towards her. You rested your head on her chest, listening to her heartbeat as you swayed once again.
âI think Iâm in love with you.â
You would've missed it if you weren't so focused on the woman in front of you. It was but a faint whisper as she held you close. You thought about all the times youâve had with Natasha. All the faint touches, the smiles, and the loving looks.
Natasha Romanoff was everything to you; she was your whole world. There wasnât a day you didnât think of her, her loving stares, her smile, and her laughter. You loved herâyou were in love with her.
So you pulled back, out of Natashaâs embrace as the redhead looked away. She began to ramble on, something about hoping you two could still be friends but you werenât listening. You smiled widely at her, effectively stopping her rant. âWhat?â she asked.
You shook your head not knowing how to say what you were feeling. So you let your actions speak for you. Natasha let out a yelp as you pulled her towards you, cradling her face as you kissed her.
The music played faintly in the background, but all you thought about was Natasha. She consumed your every thought; she was all you thought about. You could feel her smile into the kiss as she wrapped her arms around your waist. Finally pulling back, she laid her head on yours, whispering, âdoes this mean what I think it does?â
