âAt least it gives us something to commiserate over.â Jac couldnât help but giggle. Â She mostly just bottled up any feeling about how her parents treated her and her sister, choosing to focus on other things most of the time.
Nathaniel liked that he had someone who understood at least a little bit. "That is true. Always good to have someone to talk to."
âI have a sister too!â Jac clapped happily. âIs yours older or younger!â
âMine is younger than me but sometimes I thinks she should have been older. She is a lot more mature than I am,â he chuckled. âWhat about yours?â
âSheâs older than me, but both of our parents kind of hate us equally because we love to party and cause spectacles of ourselves.â
"I guess that's fair," he chuckled softly. "Our parents just kind of ignore us. They have other stuff to worry about."
âI have a sister too!â Jac clapped happily. âIs yours older or younger!â
"Mine is younger than me but sometimes I thinks she should have been older. She is a lot more mature than I am," he chuckled. "What about yours?"
âWhy is that?â He looked at her with a shake of his head. âMy parents didnât care about what I had to say so I didnât get too much time to talk.â
âCuz it makes me feel good about myself,â she beamed, but frowned shortly thereafter. âAw. Iâm sorry. My parents arenât really that much fun either, to be honest. They kind of hate me.â
"Well in that case you make me nervous," he gave a soft chuckle as he said it. "That sucks I'm sorry. I'm lucky to have grown up with a sister who let me talk to her."
"Why is that?" He looked at her with a shake of his head. "My parents didn't care about what I had to say so I didn't get too much time to talk."
Nathaniel smiled and nodded his head slowly, âyeah itâs Nate or Nathaniel. I mean Nathanielâs my full name and some people call me by it.â He shrugged when he realized he was talking quickly.
âWell! Iâm Jac. My full name is Jacqueline, but almost no one calls me that. Jac is just fine,â she winked playfully at him, twirling a piece of her hair. âDo I make you nervous?â
"It's nice to meet you Jac," he smiled and extended his hand to her. "No. I don't really get nervous. It's more I talk really fast out of habit. Growing up if I didn't talk fast I didn't get my thought out."
Nathaniel smiled and nodded his head slowly, "yeah it's Nate or Nathaniel. I mean Nathaniel's my full name and some people call me by it." He shrugged when he realized he was talking quickly.

âI canât believe not a single person wanted to kiss me for New Years Eve,â Jac pouted. âItâs not fair! Iâm kissable! Arenât I?â
Nathaniel didn't even hesitate before leaning and pressing his lips to her's. He pulled away with a smile, "you are very kissable and now you've gotten your first kiss of 2017."

âIll for sure send some pictures if I end up going,â he smiled as he said it walking with the other. âI used to a lot more than I do now. When I had more time on my hands actually.â
âI have nothing but time, but I still barely ever do it. Okay, no, thatâs not true, but itâs not like I set out for the express purpose of looking at lights in the sky. It more just happens. Like tonight.â He hadnât intended it tonight, and yet here he was. âThanks for the opportunity. I wouldnât have thought of it.â
"That's okay though. Spur of the moment stargazing isn't nearly a bad thing." He smiled as he said it before shaking his head. "You don't need to thank me. I'm happy that I have someone to look at the stars with."

Nathaniel smiled as he listened to Lucien speak, âthat sounds amazing actually. I might have to try it sometime.â He hadnât taken the time to go anywhere to watch stars but he knew he liked watching them.
âIf you do, let me know how it goes. Hell, send pictures. Iâd love to see that again.â His shoes crunched the snow as he walked. He liked that. It was one of the good things about winter, which were rare. âYou stargaze often?â
"Ill for sure send some pictures if I end up going," he smiled as he said it walking with the other. "I used to a lot more than I do now. When I had more time on my hands actually."

Lucien smiled. âMe and my family used to go on road trips. Weâd go west and find some motel in the middle of nowhere and the stars from there were always just so breathtaking.â He shrugged. âBut hereâs good too. Theyâre pretty here too.â
Nathaniel smiled as he listened to Lucien speak, "that sounds amazing actually. I might have to try it sometime." He hadn't taken the time to go anywhere to watch stars but he knew he liked watching them.
âYou look cold.â He thought to offer his jacket, which just got him wondering whether ghostly jackets worked on other people. âYou sure you donât want to go inside?â
Nathaniel glanced over and shook his head, "I'm okay. I promise I look colder than I am. I want to see the stars." He turned his focus back to the sky, "I haven't seen them in a while. Haven't taken the time to stop and look."
