Any ffxiv advice you can give?

Hmmm.

I played back in late 2019/early 2020 and didn't have a good experience with the game due to some nasty snark from other players. It made me put the game down for a long time because I was quite anxious about the whole thing.

Picking it back up with friends who have played hundreds to thousands of hours of the game has made the 2nd time a much better experience. I don't think I would still be playing this game had it not been for them sticking with me throughout my playthrough of the msq honestly. It makes a difference when you have a support group.

As a new player who's only 3 months back into the game, 400 hours, and in post-endwalker, I'm still learning things. I'm not good at video games, I never will be. But I've definitely gotten more comfortable the more I've been playing vs. when I started (I was so nervous to partake in pvp for the longest time but the glamour calls to me) so its been a definite learning curve.

Definitely don't do what I did and played the game an ungodly amount for the msq, take it at your pace. I just really, really love the story as it picks up in post-ARR and just continues to get better. ARR is a little rough in the beginning but man, does it pick up towards the end. I've cried so many times to this video game because shit just keeps happening and it leaves me emotionally wrecked.

Dawntrail is on the horizon and I can't wait.
