Bette and Tina have flourished in their new respective careers. One by one, their friends have joined them to find their own success in the Big Apple. But everyone has their own, dark secret, which threatens to destroy the ones they love the most. Not everything is what it seems. Our first event is coming up soon! It will be done in the form of a chatzy, which is an online chatroom, and the posts will be smaller (like 2-3 sentences). Some examples can be found on Shane’s blog. Be aware that some of the links might be broken, but most chatzies are still available to view.

how old are all the characters?

It varies. At the beginning of the season Jenny had just graduated college, so at this point she couldn’t be older than mid twenties. Shane got her GED, I place her at 27. Obviously Bette and Tina are a little older and more established, maybe mid 30s. Max, mid twenties since he’s also a recent college grad. Kit is Bette’s older sister, so probably late 40s. Dana is old enough to have a professional tennis career, so she’d be mid/late 20s. You can use your own discretion based on hints given in the show. We are also tweaking timelines if requested, so we could do the same for a character’s age. Is there a particular character you’re questioning about?

Bio:

Traveling from California to New York, NY sounded like a great summer roadtrip, but for Charlie it had been a nightmare. Charlie had left her home in San Francisco to move to NY; she needed a change and had friends in the area, so she thought ‘why not?’ With nothing but her backseat full of books and clothes, she made her way, state by state, to New York City. 

When she arrived, she set herself up in a spare room at a friends apartment. By night she works as a bartender in a hip lesbian club that also serves as a cafe during the daylight hour. But during the day she an avid writer. Charlie has been writing on and off for years, and never being published never stopped her from putting words down on the pages of her journal, the most precious thing she owns.

What part of New York City does everyone live?

We leave it up to the players to decide where they want to live, depending on financial situations, ect, or what they might prefer. Based on their (albeit unrealistic) lifestyles and success in LA, I would assume many of them would be in Manhattan. The exception might be OCs, who may have jobs that wouldn’t make sense to live in the famously expensive Manhattan, unless it was certain neighborhoods with lower rent. I lived in NYC for a while (Washington Heights), so if you have any questions about your character and where they could realistically live, please ask me! Any of the boroughs would be fine, though. NYC is only 7 miles long, so no one would be too far away from each other!
