she gives her best smile as he thanks her ❛  you’re welcome . ❜ she replies and noticed the phone on the table blowing up with texts or whatever it was . ❛  don’t . ❜ she tells him sternly ❛ this is for lux and I will not ruin everything adonis has done for her . if you want we can talk outside but not here . ❜ she grabs her sneakers that were by the door and places a kiss on luxs cheek letting her know she’s going to step out for a quick minute . walking to her backyard she sits on the swing and looks up at the male ❛  I wasn’t avoiding you . ❜ now that she sees him in a better light , she stands up and rushes to his side , her thumb caressing his face softly ❛ what the he’ll happened ? ❜ she says as she lets her fingers caress his face and everything that she promised herself over the last few days ; promising to forget him was out the window . 

“don’t make observations? that won’t happen. and nothings ruined. promise its not dramatic just because you’re in the room.” he shook his head and went over to lux to congratulate her along with give her the message from his mum about everything thats included in the basket. and then he goes to grab a drink before walking out into the backyard. “i didn’t say avoiding. i said ignoring. and that is exactly what you were doing. or are you going to feed me some rubbish about not getting my messages?” rolling his eyes he took a sip from his drink. “apparently your brother thinks im the one who hurt your feelings,” he laughed with a shrug.

she didn’t want to hear him , she needed to do this and let it be . she needed to forget him and let it be . ❛  you weren’t a charity case to me . ❜ she turns around and takes a good look at him ❛  you don’t get to pin point and tell me who I am and who I am not . ❜ she took a deep breath and turned to look at him ❛  you’re bound to find  somewhere better , I doubt that . ❜ she says as she looks at the male in front of her and walks away . the next few days were a blur , she had no contact with anyone except lux . walking around her house after she had decides to take up residence , a little party thrown for luxs new seventeen cover  . she’s had a few wine glasses and as the knock of the door she stands up placing her wine glass on the counter she opens the door and sees the male , her whole body freezes and she nods trying not to ruin this for lux ❛ come on in . ❜

“sorry i realize you’re the only person who’s allowed to tell everyone else what they’re doing. i understand now. you’re always right and everyone else is always wrong. your way or no way. message received. seems to be a common theme around this town. no wonder i don’t fit in” over the next few days he sent countless messages, none of which were returned so it was clear to him that she was avoiding him. at least he could be social for a little while, that might help though he wasn’t sure it would. “thanks” walking in with the basket his mum put together for the blonde he sets it down on the counter where he see’s joss’ phone, lighting up with notifications, “guess your phone does work afterall. so you were just ignoring me.”

“yeah, my last school was on the bigger side as well.” She said with a nod. “I think we will soon.” She assured him. “But London? I’ve always wanted to go.”

“my hope is that it just becomes like muscle memory soon enough so i wont even have to pay much attention. yeah i recommend it if you ever get the chance, it’s an amazing city.”

“i meant keeping your terms of the bet because i did win. as in you’re not supposed to be negative about things that happened in the past. that lasted all of...the walk to the car,” he shook his head at the thought. “oh im fine with trying, im not talking about me here, i’ve done nothing BUT try. its you who has to try. so don’t put this on me. if you’re walking away it’s because you’re deciding to. not because im telling you you’re not worth it. i’ve done everything in my power to prove the opposite, that you are worth it.” rolling his eyes he walked out behind her, “this is just what you do, isn’t it? how you handle things all the time? i guess i was the stupid one to think that because i treat you well, you would treat me any different than you do anyone else. you kept it up for a couple of days though, i suppose its you doing the charity work for the new kid. thanks.”

“That would be a reasonable assumption.” She said with a nod. “It’s not big? It sure does feel like it is but thats also probably a factor for me.” She said with a light laugh. “I’m glad I’m not the only one hopelessly lost.”

“its not anywhere near as big as my prior school in London which is why I thought navigating around here would be a lot easier. Smaller building, less people, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. hopefully we get the hang over it soon.”

“Oh no this place is like a labyrinth, just when you think you’ve gotten the hang of it all something pops up and surprises you."she had gone there since freshman year and she had days where she couldn’t tell you where anything was at. 

“it doesn’t help that im probably not really trying all too hard, im sort of hoping that my body will just revert to muscle memory once it knows my schedule so then i won’t have to worry about it,” he laughed and shrugged.

Sierra was surprised that anyone was asking her for directions, but from what she remembered the biology lab was just around the next corner. “I’m semi-new here so don’t take my word as law, but I’m pretty sure its the first classroom in the hallway around the corner – I’ll walk you, it’s on my way to class.” she said, smiling at him and navigating her way through the crowd of people trying to get to their own classrooms. “I’m Sierra by the way,” 

Theo was grasping at straws just asking anyone who was passing by who might bother to answer, though most people were too wrapped up in where they were going to bother. Looking at Sierra he nodded, “sounds like you could be right. guess there’s only one way to find out. worse comes to worse ill still just be wandering around aimlessly,” he chuckled. “I’m Theo.” The Brit introduced himself.

“being interested in the material definitely helps with how well you comprehend it and can apply it, i totally agree with that. science hasn’t ever really been my favorite. im more of a history guy i guess.”

she doesn’t really talk the rest of the car ride , once they make it to the ice cream shop she gets out of the car and takes a deep breath . walking inside the shop she turns to look at him ❛  are you upset with me ? ❜ she knew that her negative talk made him upset but he hadn’t said anything

getting out of the car he heads inside to look at the menu, “you’ve already reneged on your side of the bet,” he told her with a chuckle and a shrug, “im starting to think you dont even want to try for anything other than negativity. which is fine if thats your prerogative id just rather know that sooner than later.”

after lunch and bowling she decided that they can do something that they both liked and it had been such a long time since she had last played . his inquiry causes her to let a small giggle escape her petals ❛ listen , to me it is considered football but if you ask any of the guys from school this is considered soccer . i just think it’s a cultural thing more than anything .  ❜ a small shrug on her shoulders as she stops the ball with her foot ❛  not so fast —- how about we make a little bet . ❜

"but how do they think it’s normal to just take the name and use it for an entirely different sport? I’ll never understand it,” he’s shaking his head at the thought because he hadn’t ever been able to wrap his mind around it. “if something already has a name, you pick a different one. i dont care what culture it is,” he laughed. “a bet? what do you have in mind? and what will i get when i win?” hes confident, clearly.

Riley smiled softly, “I’m looking for the chemistry classroom. To be honest I don’t even know which side of the school I’m on.”

“While I can’t be certain, I bet that’s probably somewhere near the bio lab, which unfortunately I can’t seem to find.” Theo said with a sigh. “I can’t imagine we’re too far off this place isn’t that big. but it deffo feels like it is when you dont know your way around, I can say that.”

“It’s not a big deal.” Evelina stood outside of the class, hands inside of the pockets of her jacket. “What time is your class at?” she asked, raising a brow. “Yeah. It’s the only smart person thing that I can understand partially.” She laughed. “If you need some help in that, I’d be willing,” she offered. “Evelina.”

“uhh” he glanced down at the schedule in his hands, “about ten minutes. im sure that’s not true, you wouldn’t have kept moving up grade levels if that were the case,” theo assured her. “ill see how it goes and let you know. nice to meet you.”

“No problem love, it’s easy to get lost when your new.” She smiled.“ I’m surprised they didn’t get someone to show around and help until you got settled.” Unless that person ditched which she had done a few times when it was her turn to welcome people.

“Someone did show me around. A few times, actually,” he admitted. “Guess I just wasn’t paying enough attention...” the male sighed with a shrug. “Lesson learned. It’s not as easy to maneuver around as i thought.”

Riley was walking along the hallway, completely lost. She had her cane in one hand and the other dragged against the wall in hopes for a sign she could read. Though she was still new to braille and sucked at it. “Um, I have no idea, I’m new.” She said simply. 

She certainly wasn’t the only one who was completely lost, he hadn’t been able to figure out his way around just yet. “That makes two of us. What are you looking for? If I’ve been there maybe I can help.”

from the moment he arrived, theo was able to be pick up on the vibe of the town, they were close knit and everyone had each others backs. that is, unless they didn’t. “look, man, i get where you’re coming from. most of the guys are here seem like they’re scum. but i’m not.” once again, as per usual, though hes condescending he isn’t trying to be outright rude. “im not gonna give you the same im different speech i had to give your sister, but trust me. i am.”

Evelina nodded, glad to help someone for today at least. “It’s no problem.” She shrugged, pushing herself to her feet. “I don’t know. Usually I don’t put my all into any classes but that one I did. I loved it.” She began to walk towards the class he had been looking for. “How do you like it?”

“i should probably work on paying a bit more attention to where im going while im going there,” the brit admitted with a small shrug of his shoulders. “ah so you’re into science? it’s alright. it isn’t my favorite but i can manage it decently so i can’t complain too much. im theo, by the way.”

It was her free period and because she was already caught up with all her schoolwork, Esmiray decided to look around the school. A lot of the places she passed by were still unfamiliar; that was the disadvantage of being the new kid. Fortunately for her, she heard a question that made her realize that she is not the only one who still gets lost. “I am not the right person to ask that.”, she answered him. “But wait, I know you! Or at least I saw you during orientation.”

theo might have been able to handle finding his way around if he actually paid attention to where he was going. however, he always seemed to be in such a rush to get to class on time, that he was just beelining it rather than taking in his surroundings. “oh great, well that doesnt help me much now does it?” he joked with a laugh. “i was probably lost then, too. im theo” he extended his hand to her.
