Headcanon that Lukas is a self-made builder. When he was smaller, he built things for people for a living. It's through his services he got to meet Petra and she became one of his main suppliers for the stuff he builds with. Once he earned enough and gotten steady, he was able to move on to other things, like the Ocelots and building competitions.

I can totally see this. Nearly everything Lukas has learned about building he taught himself and he’s very proud of that fact. And things like the building competition are so important to him, even if he doesn’t show it. Being able to win, and consistently at that, while being self taught would be a very gratifying experience.

(For the 'Muse disappears for a year and shows up with a baby' prompt.) Seeing her makes everything different. This past year has been chaos for Lukas. How could he lose track of such a close friend? Especially someone as large in the public eye as Jesse, but that all comes to a close as he sets eyes on her, and knows that, for once, it's not just him seeing things. But wait, she has something with her. No, not something, someone? A child. He's totally awestruck. "Jesse?"

“Lukas?” Of all the things she’d expected to happen when she took her daughter out for the first time, running into Lukas for the first time in nearly a year wasn’t one of them. The last time they’d seen each other she hadn’t told any of her friends she was pregnant, him included. Notch this was going to be awkward to explain. “It’s been a long time.” She said softly. “How are you?” It was probably a poor attempt to keep things normal, but then, what was she supposed to say in a situation like this?

“I’m sure he has a whole backlog of pranks and whatnot just waiting for me.” And with all the worry she’d surely put him through again, Jesse probably deserved at least some of it. “Do you think he’ll go easy on me because of Izzy? Or at least, you know, harmless sort of stuff? It’d be a whole heck of a lot easier to deal with. One child is enough of a handful without having to deal with two.” She joked, laughing slightly. She sincerely hoped he wouldn’t do anything that had the potential to be dangerous because he wouldn’t just be dealing with an angry best friend anymore, he’d be dealing with an angry mother which would undoubtedly be much worse.

“Hey, maybe we’re the ones who don’t understand. She seems pretty confident in whatever it is she’s saying, don’t you think.” Jesse grinned at him playfully. It was true, at least to her, that the little girl seemed to be chattering about anything and everything as if the two adults present could understand every word she was saying.

Lukas gives a faint chuckle. “Yeah, I’ll bet Axel’s just itching to get his hands on you.” He teases lightly, and the next question makes him pause. “I haven’t been hanging around Axel much… I’d like to think he’d have enough sense to keep dangerous things away from your kid, and I’m willing to bet Izzy’s gonna be with you most of the time, so I hope he’d go easier.” He says, smiling faintly at the child. “He’s a prankster, not an idiot, as much as I say otherwise sometimes.” He murmurs with a bit of a shrug. Jesse’s words make him laugh, and he nods. “Hm, maybe you’re right. She could have a language all to her own, and we look like the dumb ones.” He says with a small shake of his head. “She’s certainly talkative, either way.” He comments. “That’s good though, soon she’ll start catching up in our language.” He jokes.

“He will if he knows what’s good for him. If he hurts her in one of his crazy schemes I can’t promise he’ll make it out alive, even if he is my best friend.” She replied, only half joking. She loved Axel, she really did, as frustrating as he could be at times, but Izzy was now her number one priority, whether anyone liked it or not. And if he didn’t end up going easy on her, there was no way she was going easy on him.

“Hey, I’d believe it, she’s so smart already. She may only be speaking her own language right now, but she’ll be speaking at least two ‘other’ languages by the time she’s two, just wait.” She once again turned her attention to the infant sitting contentedly in her friend’s lap, a gentle, loving look adorning her face.  “You’re gonna blow us all away someday, aren’t you?”

“Heh, I’d help if you let me.” He volunteers. “I mean, knowing him he’ll still prank you like crazy, but I’m sure he wouldn’t hurt her.  I dunno how he feels about kids, but at the very least, he cares about you, and it’s obvious you love her, and I bet he’s a big teddy bear with kids anyways.” He says with a little smile, looking down at the chatty little girl in his lap. He already loves her, and he’s hardly even met her, of course he’d help Jesse protect her. “I wouldn’t doubt that, with all the babbling she’s doing, she’ll want to learn quick, so she can demand whatever it is she wants from us.” He says jokingly, before looking to Jesse again, and smiling some. “If she’s anything like you, I’m sure she’ll blow us away and then some.”

"You know how I've been getting kinda sick recently? Well, turns out, I'm not actually sick..."

Lukas looks to Jesse in confusion. “You’re not? Then what’s got you throwing up like that in the mornings?” He asks, obliviously.

Lukas listens, knowing exactly how much he’d like to keep her from doing anything dangerous. He opens his mouth to argue that now she has a life depending on her, but he quickly decides against it, simply nodding. “Yeah, I know.” He says, with a faint sigh. “You know it’s only cause we care about you though.”

“Yes I know, and you can all still care about me without treating me like I’m fragile. I know that I have limits, that there are things that I can’t do, and I know that there a things I still can do. And I also know you, all of you and there will be hovering and there will be people constantly trying to do every little thing.” Jesse can sense that he wants to argue with her, and really, she expected as much but that didn’t mean she was just going to sit around and let it happen. If she had to sit around doing nothing for the next six or seven months she’d go out of her mind.

Lukas listens quietly for a moment, breathing a soft sigh. “I know you can… you can protect yourself better than anyone I know. I’m sorry, I know I get annoying. I just can’t stand the thought of you, or now, our child getting hurt. I’ll back off, but don’t feel like you have to do everything on your own, please. We can help you, and it doesn’t mean you’re any weaker for it.” He gives a faint smile, trying to come to a conclusion that they’ll both be okay with. Of course, backing off, just means he’ll worry more, he’ll just keep that worry to himself.

“I’m not going to do anything that would put the baby in danger, Lukas. I could never live with myself if something happened to her because of me, you know that. I’m not asking you or anyone else to just ignore the fact that I’m pregnant, but I am asking you to have a little faith that I know what I’m doing and let me do things. If you can’t do that much I’ll go crazy and you don’t want to be the one responsible for pissing off the pregnant lady.” Her words were firm, but not entirely unkind. Jesse got the feeling this was a subject they were going to be butting heads on a lot, but she didn’t plan on budging on her stance any time soon.

“I know you wouldn’t purposefully put the baby in danger Jesse, I’m not a complete idiot you know. I didn’t say I wouldn’t let you do things, I just want you to know that if I can help, and you’re willing to let me, ask me, I don’t care what I’m doing. I don’t want to take away your freedom, love, I just want to help, cause I know this is going to be difficult.” He really doesn’t want to be the one responsible for pissing her off. That much is completely true.

“Why are you bleeding?” (Up to you when this is set.)

“Huh?” He looks down at himself, before clutching his side where he can see the blood staining his shirt. He curses quietly.  “One of those things must have got me when we were running away, I-I didn’t even notice, I can’t feel it.” He frowns confused by the lack of pain. 

“Oh crap, are Petra and Ivor behind us? I thought they were following us.” He looks around, concerned. They seem to be safe for the moment, but when they entered this world, they were attacked by a group of odd looking people, and as it seems, separated. Way to enter this place with a bang. 

The blond is out of breath, still holding his side to keep it from bleeding worse than it already is. He looks to Jesse, trusting her to figure this out. She always does, after all. “I hope we find them, and the portal out of here, fast…” He mumbles, starting to ball up his shirt around the wound. Why is it that he never seems to fail in hurting himself? The world may never know.

“It’s hard to tell how long it’s been, isn’t it? After so many portals things just kinda…blur together.” Jesse hadn’t realized it until he said something, but going from one frantic ‘adventure’, as they were calling them, to the next with almost no break in between, it was a little hard to keep track of how much time had passed since the whole crazy thing had started. “I hope it hasn’t been too long.” She said, trying to sound optimistic. And I hope it won’t be much longer, she added to herself silently. “It’s not really the best outcome knowing they could still end up in some mess because of this, but I guess all we can do is hope that they don’t accidentally stumble across the portal, or anything else that might get them into some crazy sort of trouble for that matter. We just gotta have faith that they’ll be okay, like I’m sure they’re doing for us.” She said, offering Lukas a weak smile.

Lukas nods in agreement with her words. “Time is weird, especially when it seems to be a different time in each world.” He says, frowning and looking around the area they’re in now. “I hope it hasn’t been either…” He says, smiling faintly at her optimism. He’d rather see her looking on the bright side, rather than bringing herself down with panicked thoughts. “I know you’re used to guiding them Jesse, but your friends are smart, and strong. All you can do is hope that they’re okay.” He says, returning her smile with a faint one of his own. He decides to skip the fact that hoping your team would do well without you is part of the reason that they’re here. But thinking of Aiden isn’t something he really wants to do right now, so he turns his attention back to his task instead.

“I know they are, Lukas. I know that they’re very capable people who can take care of themselves, no one could know that better than me but I still can’t help but worry, and can you really blame me? Even the best fighters, the smartest people can get into bad situations beyond their control. I mean look at what all has happened to us. We’ve gone through how many portals now? I’ve lost count at this point and not one of them has gotten us any close to home and we still have a ton more left. We’re pretty good at looking after ourselves, sure, but that didn’t exactly stop us from getting into this mess, did it?” She could feel herself and her manufactured optimism slipping and Jesse did her best to pull a smile back onto her face. “They’re my best friends, my family. I think I’m justified in worrying, at least a little bit, don’t you think?”

“I didn’t say you can’t worry, I understand, I just want to keep looking at things positively.” He pauses a moment, nodding at her words. “That’s true, we may be in quite the mess, but we’re alive. No major injuries or anything yet. We just have to meet back up with Petra and Ivor and keep pushing forward.” He breaths a faint sigh. Ever since they’ve gotten through the witherstorm, Lukas has trusted Jesse with everything, and with that, comes some optimism on things working out. Though with Jesse pointing out the less-than-great parts of all of this, his own silver lining thought process is fading a little. He wants to keep it going, so he doesn’t get all down about it, but it’s hard when they don’t know where their friends are. “I care about them too, I’m worried, I just need to hope they’re okay.”

Okay okay but hear me out In the hybrid au, the hybrids always have to deal with hybrid-phobic people who try to say that the hybrids are gross, freaks of nature who should be treated like the animals they are, right? And the hybrids of course have to fight for their rights because they’re people too, and they’re more than just wild animals. But like Imagine if, when Jesse and the others meet the Old Builders, they tell them that /they/ created hybrids, and that they /actually did create them for the sole purpose of having semi-intelligent animals to use as pets and play things/. Imagine how soul-crushing it would be too find out that everything you were fighting against your whole life, all the insults and pain you endured, it was all rooted in a seed of truth @lunaraen @nyanshadowforce

First impression: “oh cool grease is here”. Didn’t really care or notice lukas too much as i was distracted by the greaser/biker look the gang had, it was pretty cool. 

Impression now: He’s an adorable nerd who I do think should be an official member of the order of the stone, but hey secretary works too. 

Favorite moment: If you follow Ivor to jail you get to see a cute little scene where Ivor nearly blurts out stuff about the witherstorm an lukas just cups a hand over his mouth like ‘haha, uncle ivor  you’re so funny, oh yes the melon war yes very interesting, sHH! you idiot’

Idea for a story: I would like to see Lukas resemble the ocelots or even go on to become a legend himself in building. It was something he was obviously interested it and was skilled greatly in. So having to do something with him being seen as a ‘go’ builder would be cool.

Unpopular opinion:  Lukas cannot brew potions, every time he tries it results in him either having the potion blow up in his face, or it just does nothing.

Favorite relationship: Lukas and Jesse have a pretty strong friendship that I do admire. Comparing it to before and now it’s just something I find really cool that they kept it a more friend-ish than forcing a kind of romance between them. (but by all means ships are ships ))

Favorite headcanon: Lukas is the shortest of the ocelots(Bonus below (Lukas’s brewing attempts))

First impressionMun: An interesting fan character. I thought she was cute and wanted to know more!Muse: When we first met, I sort of thought she was annoying.

Impression nowMun: She’s a cool character with an interesting twist, and a good way to explain why she’s not in the main story! Muse:Once I stopped looking at her like she was a little kid, I got to be good friends with her, and I saw how smart, and cool she is.

First impressionMun: Jesse seems like the underdog, determined to make things great. Muse:Jesse was the first one to reach out to me, to try to bring our groups together. They seemed really cool, and I always admired their hard work on their builds.

Impression nowMun: Jesse’s a great leader, pretty much no matter how you play them. I like how much they care for their friends.Muse: They always seem to know what to do, I don’t think there’s a whole lot I could say about them that’s bad.

Favorite momentMun: There’s a lot of great moments with Jesse, but I’m always reminded of the ‘cool beans’ option. What a dork.Muse: Jesse’s done a lot of great things. I think that them letting me lead the way through the endermen was my favorite moment with them so far.

Idea for a storyMun: I could do a lot with them, I’d like to do some shipping fics, and some with them coming to terms with the whole ‘famous leader’ thing.

Unpopular opinionMun: I wish there was more female Jesse. And not just the first one. #Jesseequality!

Favorite relationshipMun: There’s quite a few with Jesse. I can’t decide between Lukesse, or Jesse and Aiden, so I’m going to go with the three of them.

Favorite headcanonMun: There’s so many! Hm... I like the headcanon that Jesse’s nearly never late, because Rueben makes a wonderful alarm clock. Though, that means that after he passes, they struggle with getting to where they need to be on time.

First impressionMun: At first I thought she was sort of uptight, and pessimistic, I didn’t dislike her, but you know.Muse: She was really sassy, but not mean, like Axel could get. I liked her.

Impression nowMun: I really wish her character had developed further, she has the potential to become a really interesting, helpful, and hopefully confident redstoner. As is, she’s just sort of... there.Muse: She’s really down on herself, but she’s really smart, and I like talking to her. I wish she could see how much she can do.

Favorite momentMun: My favrite moment was when they were talking about Lukas’s hair, and how great it was. I just found it amusing. :3Muse: She really stuck up for me in the treehouse. Her and Jesse made me feel welcome.

Idea for a storyMun: I’d love to introduce the family a friend and I made together, though I’m not too confident on how I write her. Let me know if you guys wanna see that! I’d also love to add some character development.

Unpopular opinionMun: See my current impressions. I don’t like her as a character, as she currently is.

Favorite relationshipMun: I’m a huge multishipper. I love her and Axel, which I know, is a very common one, sorry to bore you!

Favorite headcanonMun: Her father also worked with redstone, so a combination of him, and Ellegaard really inspired her to work with it.

First impression: Mun: At first, I thought Axel was a huge jerk, a funny jerk, but still a jerk. I thought the creeper prank was really mean, and I didn’t like him much.Muse: He seemed like a stubborn jerk to me.

Impression now:Mun: I was totally right, but he’s also really lovable and protective, and one of my favorites.Muse: He’s actually pretty cool. He’s still stubborn, and he’s still a jerk sometimes, but now I see why he acted like that. I wish I could have made a better first impression on him.

Favorite momentMun: Hmmm, this is a pretty hard one, he’s got a lot of really good moments. I think the line “You’ll have to eat me first.” When talking to Aiden made me laugh the hardest.Muse: Anytime he wasn’t falling on me was a good time.

Idea for a storyMun: I could do a lot with Axel. I could do backstory, but I’m very partial to @new-king-of-boomtown‘s story for him. There’s a heck of a lot he could get into being the king of boomtown though!

Unpopular opinionMun: Uhhh? I don’t know if I have an unpopular opinion about Axel. I generally love this giant nerd.

Favorite relationshipMun: I ship a lot of things with him, but I really ship Axel and Lukas, cause I like when those who fight, and have differences realize that they really like each other. 

Favorite headcanonMun: Another thing from @new-king-of-boomtown, that he has a thing for cute fuzzy rodents. ^-^
