“I guess. I think the world would be a much better place if everyone was more real…realer? You get my point.” Brett returns Theo’s shrug, a small smile going across his lips as the other male agrees with him. “Yes, yes I did. So no more stalling. Lay it on me.” He replies, nodding to confirm his statement. After hearing the story, he can’t help but chuckle softly, making a slight face. “Damn, that’s certainly something. Costco is both great and dangerous. It brings out the crazy in people. Must be the need for all of the free samples.” Brett says jokingly, giving his head a shake. “That wasn’t terrible. I was expecting something way worse. You made me think you got dumped in the middle of Costco or something. Being dumped in public is definitely something I don’t recommend.”
“I get it but unfortunately I don’t see that happening anytime soon. It may end up being a whole generation before it happens.” Theo shook his head at the thought, mainly in disbelief. A smile appeared on his face at the mention of the samples. He didn’t know how many times his mother bribed him with being good just to get a chance at a small square of pizza. “Listen, I have some few horror stories from getting lost in a forest to getting lost in a new city. Mainly about getting lost since I’m the total worst with directions. Word of advice; never let me be your navigator on road trips.” He said with a small chuckle. “Instead of Naked And Afraid - it should just be Costco and Afraid because that is truly how it felt.” He joked. “Oh? You’ve been dumped in public before? Please tell me more. I need to not feel alone.”
ffsray:
“Wow. Were you a Kevin, Joe, or Nick girl?” She teased. “Have you seen that SNL sketch about the Beygency? I feel like that’s me in real life.”
“Uh, most definitely, Nick. You can’t deny when he sang A Little Bit Longer, your heart broke into a million pieces.” He smirked. “I actually haven’t but I feel like I’m seriously missing out. I usually only watch SNL for the Melissa McCarthy and Sean Spicer skits.”
milogarner:
“Who am I to be selfish with these pizzas? They’re free to you. Besides it’s not like I can eat twenty two of them alone. Believe me, I’ve tried.”
“I just want to start off by saying how you are now my new favorite person. Have you tried? How much did you actually eat? Usually after the third piece, I’m stuffed.”
ffsray:
Big Girls Don’t Cry still haunts my Pandora. It’s like 2006 coming back to rear its ugly head the only way it still can. Plus, it’s kind of hard to dance to. I don’t mind Fergalicious, though. – Okay, I may or may not know every lyric.
“You know what truly haunts my Pandora? Jonas Brothers. Especially SOS or Year 3000 or my favorite, When You Look Me In The Eyes. But let’s not talk about them right now because I could go on and on. Oh come on, I was about to say! Knowing every word is an American necessity. Just like knowing every Beyonce song.”
fckjayde:
“The probability of you being the only one is rather slim. However, I cannot say I am in that boat myself. To her ‘big girls don’t cry’ I offer a fuck you ‘it’s my party and i’ll cry if I want to’ because the wayback machine in that case seems much more applicable. A Walk to Remember? I don’t even honestly recall which one that is, just one of those commonly referenced supposedly tear inducing films that I am sure I was made to sit through at some point or another. It’s not the one where they argue through like ninety percent of the movie over petty shit, is it? No, wait, I think that’s The Notebook? Is A Walk to Remember one of the Nicholas Sparks ones or something? Ah, crap. I need to Google this now. If I openly don’t know these things one of my friends is likely going to have me sit through another marathon of them to refresh my memory.”
“Oh yeah, that would be The Notebook.Where apparently some grown woman can’t tell her parents who she really wants to marry or something like that. All I remember from that one is looking confused because I was told it was a “masterpiece” and I truly beg to differ. A Walk to Remember is a Nicholas Sparks one, yeah, and it will also drive you to stab forks in your eyes at the beginning and maybe even half way through. Just remember The Notebook is all the arguing with old people and Ryan Gosling and then A Walk to Remember is one with singing. And then you have Last Song with Miley and Liam.. and Channing Tatum is in one about a car crash and his wife loses her memory. Not gonna lie, all the Sparks trivia I know is slightly embarrassing.”
lucascavo:
“Yeees, it’s so motivating. I should add it to my running playlist.” Luca replies, laughing softly. “That movie breaks my heart. Way more depressing than The Notebook, honestly. Nicholas Sparks is a terrible terrible person with his heartbreaking books and shit.”
“Exactly! What is wrong with Nicholas Sparks? Did someone break his heart and now he’s just pushing his heartbreak onto his poor and innocent fans? Luckily, I’ve only see four of his movies and that’s all I plan on watching. I don’t know how many emotional movies I could take without turning into a cynic.”
brettgoldstein:
“Very true. You make a good point.” Brett says with a smile, nodding slowly. “I like you. You’re smart. Straightforward.” He adds on, shrugging a bit. “I honestly don’t get why people feel the need to be fake. Maybe I’m just a little old fashioned or maybe I just don’t give a fuck about other people’s feelings, but…I’d rather not be lied to, you know? Transparency is always better, at least in my opinion.” Shrugging again, he stops himself from rambling, shaking his head a bit. “Try me, Theo.”
Theo instantly smiled at the compliment. “I try my best.” He added. “I’m really not sure why people would want to be fake. Maybe it’s because they’re ashamed or embarrassed so they just need some sort of positive attention?” He suggested with a small shrug of his shoulders. “I’m the same way. I would much rather be disappointed by an answer then fooled. Besides, it hurts more when you’re lied to. I can understand how hard it could be to tell someone the truth, especially if it’s not what they’re expecting but it’s so much better to just spit it out.” He smiled, shaking his head as he knew once he started ranting he would begin to ramble on forever. “Okay, but you asked for it.” He paused for a small moment. “Okay, so I run a food truck and every Saturday I do the grocery shopping for the week. Yeah, I know - doing it on a Saturday is a death wish but a hour trip turned out to be three hours long. Why? Because the dumb ass woman in front of me at Costco literally had no idea what she was doing. And that poor cashier, I just wanted to tip her for that situation. But this woman first started out with a small car and suddenly her friend came with three carts filled with TV and other stupid shit like open signs and a full furniture set. Not only that, her card declined three times and then proceeded to cuss out the cashier, me - for ‘standing too close’, the manager and the men who were going to load her shit in her Crown Vic. Which let me add, I would have loved to see that monstrosity.” He shook his head, still in total disbelief. “The worst part is that I wasn’t even able to get my pretzels because they raised the price. Still heartbroken over it.”
andresjrojas:
“You can blame the new born baby across the hall and the upstairs dog barking that kept me up half the night. Trust me, it was hell. I’m lucky I’m not passed out on a bench somewhere.”
“Well, it seems like you have four options. One, invest in some heavy duty earplugs. The only risk is not waking up for alarms. Two, be that asshole and post notes on tenants doors. Three, tell your landlord. Or four, move. Personally, I’d go with a mixture of one and two but that’s just me.”
emilyok:
“Oh my god, yes! Fergie was so great” Emily agreed, nodding excitingly. “I adored the Black Eyed Peas when I was younger. My Humps was actually my favourite song for a while, much to the horror of my mother” she recalled with a fond laugh. “You know, I’ve actually never seen A Walk to Remember. I hear it mentioned all of the time but I’m always forgetting to sit myself down and check it out. I should definitely watch it if it’s a tearjerker, I love a good emotional movie.”
“Luckily I was graced with an older sister who was obsessed with the Pussycat Dolls so my mother was used to the Black Eyed Peas when I came blaring that around.” He grinned, thinking back to those memories. “If I were you, I’d save myself and not bother watching it, unless you’re just totally down for making yourself cry. But otherwise, it’s honestly not a bad movie. I liked it much better than The Last Song.. which low key I only watched because of Miley Cyrus and was slightly disappointed.”
morganfranklin:
“You know what… I was thinking about this the other day when I was listening to London Bridges. I don’t think we properly appreciated Fergie. I hope she forgives all of us.”
“I think we’re on the same wavelength here.” He nodded subtly. “No one ever gives Fergie enough credit. Hell, she graced us with four beautiful creations; Fergalicious, London Bridges, Big Girls Don’t Cry and Glamorous. God, I hope she forgives us and comes out swinging with a new Beyonce-level album. I would die on spot.”
lunastevens:
Yes! These songs are so stupid but yet they making me laugh so hard! Well us girls saw that coming for the simple reason that it was too good to be true so something had to happen in the end but this movie made me cry I won’t lie. The last movie that made me cry was One day and Me before you I love these movies .

Wouldn’t you just love to be that songwriter? Here, I wrote a super shitty song but no big deal, I can sell it!! And then make millions. You know what, on second thought that may be my new career change. What?! You’re telling me you knew that bad ending was coming?! I thought for sure it was going to be like any other Hallmark or Lifetime movie and she was magically going to be better and live happily ever after. But boy, was I wrong.I almost saw Me Before You but I smartened up and knew better.
☆ do you believe in karma?
I don’t, no. I’m not one to expect good things will happen to me because I did something good. Shitty things happen to good people every day, whether or not they had good karma coming their way.
☆ + do you see yourself in a long term relationship and/or married at any point?
Eventually, yeah. I don’t see that happening anytime soon but for the most part-- down the road, I see myself married, with kids, white picket fence -- you know, the whole shebang. The American Dream. God bless whoever marries me though.
☆ + where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Maybe seeing myself on Food Truck Wars? But other than that, nothing special. I feel like my life would be the same. I’d most likely still be in Seattle and still working my ass off.
