"it was not this bad," Camden said, his hands in his pockets, looking around almost cautiously. "Things are different..."
Isaac didn't know why it mattered so much. Maybe because he had been given a choice. And, even knowing what he did, he would still make that choice again. He would still go to Derek Hale in the middle of the night and accept the bite.
After a long moment of thought, he shook his head. "No. I guess not." He smiled, then, moving close to pull Cam into a hug. Any anger he felt giving way to relief that his brother was still alive. "I missed you, Cam."
Cam nearly felt his heart skip a beat when his younger brother hugged him. He wrapped his arms around him, holding him close to him. He could smell Isaac, the scent that was distinctly his brother. "I've missed you Isaac..." he said in a low voice. "I've missed you so much..."

Gideon lifted his gaze, a shiver going down his spine as the other approached him. A wolf, an alpha. His hands were in his pocket, glancing at him. "Do you need something?"

Gideon nodded his head, his finger running along the rim of the glass. "Yeah...Derek and Laura are my younger siblings."

"Well, if it isn’t a resourceful man. Thank you." He took the vial and spilled on it. "I’m Henry."
"Gideon," he answered, turning back to his own glass which was mostly empty. "My name is Gideon Hale."
There was a part of Camden that wanted him to lash out, wanted to feel the pain that he caused his brother because he knew he had caused it. It was his fault. he should have done more. He could have done more couldn’t he have?
"I was turned…when I was over there. A wolf, an alpha, bit me." Camden shook his head. "I was…drafted into a special unit…only just got out of my orders the other day…"
"They told us you had died in combat. Some guy from the army came to our door. You were dead." Isaac took a breath and unclenched his fist. He needed to calm down. He needed to breathe.
"Was it offered to you? The Alpha? Did they offer it to you, or did they just bite you?" It seemed to be an important question.
Camden watched his brother, the emotions traveling over his features, how one moment he went from anger to calm again. Then nerves, something that made the younger wolf nervous. About how he was bitten?
"Just bit," Camden answered, his eyes still on his brother. "Does it make a difference?"

Wandering around the town, it wasn’t exactly the role of bait she was playing. More of a surveyor. A habit of hers that developed in the past years. As rash as the teen was, she still enjoyed knowing enough information on the things she’d deal with. The Alphas and Darach were no different.
A scent wrapped around her and she couldn’t shake off the familiarity. But this whole down was a festival of familiarity, most of which, Cora opted to push to the back of her mind. But her attempts to keep her mind blocked failed when she caught her name on the man’s lips. “Those shades suck.” The comment slipping out before she could stop it. It wasn’t rare for her to run into someone she once knew. What put her on edge… was the fact the other was a wolf too…
Yup that was definitely Cora. She looked different from the last time he had seen here, in more ways than one, but there was no doubt in his mind that it was her. His younger sister. The pain in the ass, I don't need help from anybody sister. Gideon pulled the shades from his eyes and gave her a look. "Well thank you for your input, they're more to protect my eyes than anything else."
A side effect of what the hunters had done, damaged his eyes, that sensitivity was always there. Even his eyes were more golden than what they had been anymore. "Can't have too many people recognizing me."

The wolf was telling him he needed to lash out at his brother, to make him feel pain the way he did. But he held himself back, clawed hands curling into fists at his side. He needed to focus. Isaac didn't want to be pushed by his anger. He just...he needed to know.
