I will remember those full moon nights of my life. When I peacefully gather my thoughts with the moon beside me. I think of the past. What could be done to stop them. Then I get the answer from the most superior, AL-KHABEER (the All-Aware) Himself

Only if He chooses us to be together, we will. Only if He decides we are done for the time, we will part ways. Nothing in between, ever. And the pain, the griefs, always make us closer to Him. So that when we are with our loved ones, we don't forget to thank Him for the precious moments we have together.

Forcing hobbies, art, or creative crafts will never do any good, ever.

My friend has started a Facebook page where she posts her acrylic paintings. Even though she is new to it, her art mesmerizes me every time.

But I am more like a pen-and-watercolor person. I don't understand how acrylic colors work, honestly. However, I still thought I could pull it off, as I was doing fine with watercolor. To my utter surprise, that was totally messed up 🫟

I couldn't pull off even the basic tutorials. My head started spinning. One thing could be my post-operative recovery phase; another thing could be that I was forcing myself to draw with acrylic paint. I thought it looked cool. But then I tried drawing some letters, some doodle art, with just a black pen. And I liked how it turned out.

That was it. Realization.

Hobbies are meant to save you. If you are feeling suffocated, then it's time to look for a new hobby, or you can just resume something that you left in a lonely place a while ago...

Keep breathing, my friend.

You are alive.

Ditch anything that makes you feel otherwise.

Some pieces, some haunting pieces that came straight from my mind, I still consider them as masterpieces. Most of them appeared when I was shattered, broken-hearted, and teary-eyed. Those painful moments felt like a never-ending walk through a dark, slippery tunnel, the kind you see in movies. I now realize that I can never be an eternally great poet without dying a thousand times first.

I understand now that I need a glass heart, one riddled with cracks and scars. To write a book that clutches my soul, I need everything within me to fall apart. Always.
