Space horror is a fun concept, and the idea of like...forced transformation/infestation is a sad idea but is one that I enjoy to play with. Definitely have a lot of The Thing/Carrion/SOMA inspiration with these guys. Pictured are three OCs of mine - Muller, Metzger, and Bauer. Fell in love with the idea of a bunch of manly dudes bonding over this relatively traumatic experience, so whoops now they’re all in a polycule. Metzger takes more of an active role of looking for more infested space-farers and removing the risk of the infection spreading. Bauer is more of the techie who stays behind to keep an eye on communications and on Muller, who has changed so much that he can no longer speak. He remains planet-side to guard the source of their infestation to prevent anyone else from becoming like them.
