There is an emotional trigger contributing to every single illness ever studied, and these emotions are based mostly out of our perceptions of traumatic events. We create stories and interpretations out of them and these stories of victimhood might serve us in the short term-- but they cripple our ability to heal. I'm not a fan of support groups for that reason. Support groups by nature, are filled with people who are stuck on a story. But I did enjoy speaking to a celiac society support group last night... 90% of them were fascinated and intrigued and a small percentage had a tough time wrapping their head around the idea that it's possible for some people to not be afraid of what they eat any more. A good sign when you're speaking after a talk is that nobody wants to leave. Thank you Amanda and Stephan and Gloria for being there. I had fun performing my "pills don't teach skills" rap. #packedHouse (at Living Cafe - Eat To Live)
Jason (better known as Speeches Beyond) came to me in a very tough predicament. His back was up against the wall, and he was feeling unqualified and having a dream but not feeling like his life was going in the right direction. If you ever find yourself in this situation, please understand this:
YOU CAN NEVER CHANGE YOUR CURRENT SITUATION WITHOUT FIRST APPRECIATING WHY YOU SHOULD BE EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE AT THIS MOMENT.
In other words, you have to come to a place of authentic gratitude for it.
I’m not talking about a bullshit affirmation that’s insincere, either. I’m talking about seeing the beauty of how and why you are finding yourself in this life situation. The key is tying whatever is happening to your highest values and clearing your past feelings of being trapped.
Every stress is a trigger of a previous unresolved emotion, and as you’ll see in this video, when you uncover the previous memory and clear it, you have a deeper appreciation of your current situation and will get creative and find the confidence to transform your current reality into new levels of fulfillment and achievement.
But not until you get over the delusion that you SHOULD BE somewhere else AT THIS TIME.
Without appreciation of what is, you are making more work for yourself to transforming to a greater version.
Hope you enjoy, and please share with someone who needs it.
Nima

Secret to life: Going through a transition? Death of a loved one? Uncertainty? Divorce? Change of career path? Addiction recovery? Depression? Stressed? You name it... The secret to having the best time on our very temporary time here on Spaceship Earth is to connect to your authentic self, serve from that place-- and to add value where you go... I left for my #OverviewExperienceWorldTour2015 back in January with no certainty of where I was going and who I was meeting. I realized not many people had heard about me or knew what I had to offer... But I've been putting one step in front of the other and making this my motto and it's been strange how things have been working out. I've made some amazing connections across the world and people are flying from all over to hear what I have and are inviting me back for more and booking me for more opportunities to do what I love the most: #Edutain. #ItsNotAboutMeItsAboutThem #LaVidaLoca #Malaga #chiroeurope #edutainer (at Hotel Beatriz Palace Fuengirola)
This is the part of the job that doesn't suck: Thursday afternoon arrival at the Resort in #Malaga. I've never been here but damn it's purdy. What you don't see in this picture is that I am almost sleepwalking. Traveling from #VanCity to Southern Europe usually means a stop in London, Paris, or Amsterdam and another 2.5 hour flight after a 2 hour connection. It's brutal when you arrive. #FirstWorldProblems #TheStruggleIsReal (at Hotel Beatriz Palace Fuengirola)
TIME FOR REFLECTION: Connection in #Seattle from #Detroit to #SanDiego-- I glance out the window as we are landing and I see the beautiful Volcano -- #MountRainier. Everywhere I go on this planet-- I still think the Pacific North West has the most picturesque views. We have it all here. Looking forward to coming back to the office in May. I've experienced more lessons and growth-- crisis and victory in these past 3 months than I have in a 5 year equivalent of time. I never expected This book #CreatureToCreator to have so much content from my own life lessons to use as examples of the work I'm teaching others. I can totally relate to Ghandi right now when he said "My life is my message." #SteppingItUp #JustWatchMe #BringIt (at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (Sea-Tac))
Every location I stop in for my #OverviewMethod seminars I have an interaction or moment that is memorable-- one that I will take with me for the rest of my life. #Detroit was no exception. I had the opportunity to connect with a 13 year old young man and demonstrate to the seminar attendees how simple it is to neutralize a negative emotion by asking yourself the right questions. I thought it would be difficult, as I've never taken someone so young through the Method. But to my surprise, Isaac was the easiest participant EVER. He was open, receptive, no ego-- the key to this method working. We all struggle the most and have the greatest difficulty (in life with stress) when we are attached to OUR STORY (ego). Within 15 minutes we took a painful memory of his when he was 3 years old (that still runs his life today and affects him) and took him through a process that had him laughing at it-- grateful it happened, realizing that he "wouldn't change a thing". Leaving the workshop, he felt free, and I felt inspired more than ever to teach the future leaders of tomorrow how to change their story, turn stress into bless, and serve and play on a bigger level despite challenges, obstacles, critics, and haters. Remember the name Isaac Mintz. He's going to do something amazing someday. #stress #bless #OverviewExperienceWorldTour2015 (at West Bloomfield Township, Michigan)
Had the opportunity to present today to a group of 6th and 7th graders at the Hillel school outside of #Detroit #michigan about #selfesteem, #stress, and #bullying... These kids were engaging, fun, intelligent, and were an absolute delight to share with. I have to say I have spoken to audiences around the globe, big and small- but nothing used to terrify me more than a room full of 10-13 year olds. When I realized they are very intelligent and don't need to be spoken down to--they just need to be served with loving intent and authenticity...I opened up to them...and they opened up to me as well. @jeffreycobelli we have stumbled on something that is slowly going to change the world. Paraphrasing conversations from one of my critics -- “Nima, you and I both know you’re selling people bullshit. You’ve taken someone else’s work and stolen it. You are a man who lacks integrity.”
(More on this later, ahem).
How you were able to watch your last film: A Brief History
On November 1st, 1894, Annie Oakley was firing her shotgun at tiny glass balls thrown into the air as Thomas Edison’s latest invention captured the action in real-time.
The device, an electrically powered camera capable of recording motion was the first of it’s kind in the world. A mechanical monument, who’s idea came to him 6 years before, sparked by a conversation he had with British Photographer Edward Moybridge, who was very well known for his work on animal motion studies. He invented a revolving disc with images on it that he shined light through, which as it revolved around, it made the image look like a “motion-picture.”
He gave a lecture on the device, which Edison attended, and after the lecture Edison suggested they combine their talents together to create something with this “motion-picture” device.
As Edison thought about it more, he decided he didn’t need to collaborate. Within months, he took his phonograph (audio player) concept and combined it with Moybridge’s idea and drew up sketches and applied for a patent for an optical recording device called a “kinetograph” which “would do for the eye what the phonograph did for the ear.”
It doesn’t end there.
Further inspiration had been found upon a visit to Paris in 1889 while Edison visited Etienne Jules Moray, a French Scientist who had been filming birds by converting a gun into a camera, so as he pulled the trigger it would take rapid pictures with strip film. This influenced Edison to go back and use his new “method” and experiment with Roll film.
After coming back home, piggybacking on George Eastman’s (Eastman/Kodak) skills and his assistant William Dixon (who was largely responsible for the Optics in the device) created roll film with holes in it and a machine that could continually advance that film while taking pictures. Soon after, the “kinetoscope” was created, which was the first ever coin-operated motion picture entertaining device which would play short loops of recorded film.
These devices were sold to the public at a great profit to Thomas Edison’s “Kinetoscope” Company. The public poured into these Kinetoscope parlors just to view these short looped films with no sound.
In 1895 French inventors August and Louis Lumiere took the concept and created their own version, adding a projector and later that year, another motion picture playing device was developed from this one, called the “Phantoscope”. All of a sudden, from one concept added to another, constantly improved upon and refined—larger than life figures were appearing on screens for entertainment purposes.
With no projector of his own to market, and due to his prestigious brand at the time, Edison bought the Phantoscope’s patent from Thomas Arma, slapped his own name on it and created the “Edison Vitascope”. The inventor-turned businessman then had the press label it as “The Ingenious Inventor’s Latest Toy,” and the Vitascope made it’s public debut on April 23, 1896 in New York City, effectively launching the American Motion Picture industry—all in Edison’s name. Part of his genius was how he took other people’s work, achievements, thoughts, failures, small successes and connected them to push forward what HE was working on.
Do you have a smartphone camera? Have you ever recorded a loop on Instagram or Vine? Ever sent a video on snapchat? That’s all because of innovation created by the forward movement of un-original ideas too. The entire time, the moon is revolving around the planet, while planet is revolving around the gravitational forces produced by the Sun, while the Sun is hurdling through the Milky Way galaxy at 70,000Km/hr, while the Galaxy is hurdling through Space at the speed of damned if I know.
As the World turns.
“Symphony” is the linking of seemingly unrelated elements to create something new.
When I came up with The Overview Method, I had full awareness I wasn’t creating a NEW CONCEPT. I learned the magic of changing perceptions from my mentor, John Demartini, (who basically has ripped off all of Aristotle and Plato’s concepts and is teaching them to the masses). After studying it for years, I found it challenging for me, and not being so analytical—I found his method lacking in creativity, imagery, and “Right-Brain” thinking, so I took my own love for theater and creativity and added it in to another mentor of mine’s concept-- Andrew Bernstein’s -- a self-directed worksheet to form a new LANGUAGE for a broader audience. It’s my own version of “Symphony” to help reach more people: To make it so simple a teenager would get it.
Simon Sinek’s “Start with Why” lecture has become one of the most viewed Ted Talks—all because he took an old, unoriginal concept of PURPOSE from the Greek Philosophers and created work that has brand new language, along with his own charm in it. He’s now rich and famous because of the value he is adding spreading un-original concepts into his wording and life story.
Have you logged into Facebook lately? Zuckerberg stole the idea from a couple of schoolmates and ran with it and with his Symphony of ideas has created a platform that has connected the entire planet together, and he is now one of the youngest Billionaires on the planet for doing it. (Not to mention—he has his own list of critics, haters and naysayers too).
Every Chiropractic Technique your Chiropractor uses, even the ones started by the “gurus” in the profession were developed, expanded, duplicated, copied, and added to. This is the nature of progress, as the World turns.
Take home point:
You don’t need to re-invent the wheel in order to add value to the planet. Study, learn, apply and master what you are fascinated by, and find a way to serve others in your own unique way with it. Make a difference, and expect critics to step up and try to pull you down. Embrace it. You need them to keep you authentic and real.
In this day and age with social media, the RULES HAVE CHANGED. You can’t hide anymore. TRANSPARENCY and AUTHENTICITY are currency.
For me to abandon the successful Practice and Career I love -- to follow my heart and dream to be an International “Edutainer” would be IMPOSSIBLE if I came out of the blocks trying to take full credit for the work I have distilled by standing on the shoulders of my mentors. That’s why I am fully transparent where I got my ideas, and with the details of my journey. I’ve taken concepts, and, in my perception, added my own flavor to it and improved on it so that the masses who are ready to take the next step in their lives can learn to master their body, mind, and life.
I also wanted to make it so simple — A teenager who’s hungry for personal growth can understand. I even have emailed the Worksheets of the Overview Method to my mentors to ensure Integrity and got the green light from each and every one.
If there is something we can learn from the Immortals who have made amazing transformations on the planet—it would be to keep learning, growing, mastering concepts you are fascinated by, and constantly ask “how can I add my own unique flavor into this concept and make my own life and the planet better, while honoring the teachers who’s shoulders I have stood on?”
Can you think of amazing concepts that were born out of ideas originated from previous innovations that were “Tweaked?” I’d love to hear about them and add them to my book. I MIGHT even give you credit for telling me (just playin I’m gonna steal it and call it MY OWN ORIGINAL WORK).
Learn. Master. Create. Innovate. Be (Un)original. Share with the world how you came up with it. Inspire others to do the same.
You’ll be in great company.
As the World turns, it turns out the World needs you.
Dr. Melissa Arnold called me last week in a state of panic surrounding an event that happened. While walking Lucy, we saw how those feelings triggered old feelings of when she was 9 years old and completely FROZE during a public speaking event in school. Humiliated, embarrassed, devastated, she never got up to speak AGAIN. She spent thousands of dollars trying to overcome her fear of public speaking. Courses, workshops, tapes... The underlying cause was uncovered in our 90 minute session and dissolved. Yesterday, in Atlanta in the integrative clinic she works in, she had me come in and speak to the doctors and staff at lunch, and a larger group of patients in the evening about #stress and #anxiety and #depression. I'm pleased to say BOTH times she got up and introduced me with poise, authenticity, humility, and humor. Not once, but twice she overcame her fear, stepped out of her comfort zone, and did it. Today I celebrate the power we have at our disposal when we take the time to alter our perceptions from stress to bless, from victim to victor, from "in the way" to "on the way". Statue of Liberty in the foreground, lower #manhattan in the background with the #WorldTradeCenter's #FreedomTower. #NewYork I missed you, ova hea. Tomorrow night I get to rap to a group of 8-10 year old #Montessori kids about #dancelikeyoudontcarewhoswatching #fuggedaboudit #OverviewExperienceWorldTour2015 (at LaGuardia Airport)
On the day I went to the photobin Photography studio to get headshots for my buisiness cards, I walked into the studio after having a shouting match with my ex-wife during one of the most heated times in our divorce, when we couldn’t agree on who was entitled to what.
This photoshoot was scheduled in advance. I did my best to smile in the beginning, but I decided to just be real and go with it. Some liked the sincerity of it, but my parents, and some of my staff hated it. They wanted me to smile.
I went with it. Just look at that miserable face.
Resentment comes from projecting beliefs and expectations on another person. The underlying beliefs that I was holding onto that were creating my resentment at the time:
“She shouldn’t want so much”
“It should all be over and done by now.”
Looking back on it-- my resentment wasn’t due to what was going on. It was due to me having an inner argument with reality, and not having the specific skills to “let go”.
Let’s just say things have changed a little bit since then.
3 years later, I’m at a much different place in my life. I shifted my inner game-- and as a result, I’ve expanded my practice and now I have clients all over the world. After travelling the planet and taking a few months off of clinical practice, I’ve returned with a greater certainty about the focus of who I can help, how I serve, and have formulated a new Method and Protocol to dissolve resentment to include in my care plans with patients. My ex-wife and I are good friends again, and all relationships in my life are now complete. I have no “unfinished business” or unspoken feelings towards anyone. In short, I am complete with my past and clear in my vision and purpose.
I’ve fallen head over heels in love with what I’m doing.
I am free.
I am complete.
It’s for this reason when Tobin stopped by with his son Oliver for an adjustment that the idea came through—for us to do another photoshoot, 3 years later, after the dust had settled from my divorce and my life has taken on a whole new exciting direction. I’ve taken a few months off my practice to travel and teach people how to dissolve resentment in minutes and to self-actualize.
And I’m about to go back into clinical practice, with a new sense of purpose and clarity of who I want to help: Teenagers and Entrepreneurs in a comprehensive “Overview” protocol that addresses what the health care system ignores: The Cells, the Spine, and the Soul, holding classes in my office for my community of Greater Vancouver (Coming in Mid May).
Why did I choose to work with Tobin again?
Because he’s not just your regular photographer. After going through some major challenges and learning of his own, he’s created something extremely valuable for the average person: The “Modern Glam” experience… (not just for girls, fellas). For me, it wasn’t so much “Glam” I was looking for— it was HAM. And Ham, I am.
New Rule: From this moment on, for guys, it’s called the "Modern Ham" experience for men (if you want to watch the footage from the shoot the link is at the bottom of this post).
It’s something I’m truly inspired by. For the most part, parents, couples, people in general are so caught up in the everyday grind, they stop seeing themselves as valuable, attractive, sexy, worthy—and then they come to Tobin and have an experience that leaves them looking and feeling incredible—some are even moved to tears—all with NATURAL light. He has a magic touch with camera and lighting, and coaching that I’ve never seen before in a photographer. He teaches you how to stand, how to breathe, where to look, and knows how to get a real laugh out of you.
This next picture (amongst others that you will see in my graphics for the rest of this year) is all thanks to Tobin.
He gave me an opportunity to take the “physiology of resentment” and to do what I love with it--- to use my own story as a lesson for others to learn.
The Transition you see in my body, mind, and life from the first picture to the 2nd came from a process that looks like this: (And it’s possible for everyone).
1) Go through a shitty period in your life
2) Take some photos of yourself
3) Dissolve all resentment and find gratitude and meaning in your story
4) Find a cause that’s greater than you and dedicate your life to serving it
5) Take pictures of your new self and inspire others to repeat the process when they are struggling.
This blog post is for anyone who’s currently going through a challenging struggle like I did. I’m telling you with the right tools, things get WAY better. The next time you are looking at a person who is being nasty, mean, and acting and looking “uninspiring”-- chances are-- they’re holding onto the poison of resentment. And little do they know that resentment is at the root of not only their miserable face-- but at the root of their physical and mental illness too. Luckily now there’s a fast and effective tool to dissolve it. ;)
If you’re wanting to make a transition in your life and want to take some before and after photos—or you’re looking in the mirror and not feeling like you are worthy and deserving and want to change that-- ask Tobin what it would take to create some high-end magic for you…… Click here.
I promise you won’t “resent” him for it.
Thank you Tobin, for making this Persian Princess feel so relaxed and comfortable. Here’s a clip of the fun shoot.
I remember hating seafood... Until I moved to #vancouver. At one of my fav spots-- but I get to hang with my cousin for an unprecedented two days in a row. #bromance #rodneys
