a gasp is a sharp intake or exhale of breath typically used to express shock, surprise or disgust.

When used in this context it’s extreme sarcasm to make fun of when someone overreacts negatively to something that’s actually very common and not worthy of that kind of reaction.

Case and point: Adults being on the internet.

It actually originates from the way higher class individuals tend to react to things that are actually normal and common but that their life style has sheltered them from or taught them is extremely horrible. Such as over reacting to how someone eats or dresses if it doesn’t meet the standards they’re used to.

So i’m really confused after all of the drama during LvP Plague has yet to remove BH from the private Plague chat and he’s even taking part in the profit squad event (he’s on the spreadsheet and everything). I’m not particularly bothered by/trying to bring up the LvP drama again but surely a member of a different flight shouldn’t be able to take part in other flights IN FLIGHT events. I don’t know it just seems a bit off.

BH IS a member of Plague, they’re just on vacation in Light and waiting for their cooldown so they can come back. Given that fact I don’t see anything wrong with this.

If you’re in Plague and have a problem with it you can take it up with the people running the chats and events. If you’re not Plague...it’s not really any of your business is it?

as a person who bleeds my opinion is that...yes, periods are gross. They smell bad and hurt and no body likes it, least of all us. If you say you enjoy having one...you’re a liar.

That said however, it shouldn’t be treated like such a taboo subject to talk about. It is absolutely unacceptable how many people who have menstrual cycles don’t actually know what causes it or how it works. Yes, it is a gross bodily function, but so are most bodily functions. Some people would argue that everything involved with sex is equally gross but you know what? Education is important and these people shouldn’t be treated like shit just for discussing the subject.

Lord knows most of us can’t get anyone to tell us anything half the time.

If we can talk about the effects of fatal diseases then we can talk about periods.

So many things wrong with this. Firstly, fuck off, beggars can’t be choosers. If you’re gonna bleat on the forums about how you’re oh so poor and can’t pay people for their time spent on artwork for your shitty self, you don’t get to be picky about artstyles.

Secondly, why the fuck should anyone draw for free? You’re asking people to take the time out of their schedules, time they could spend earning treasure (which, WHY THE FUCK DON’T YOU?) or making art for their own dragons. Time that could be spent opening and running a commission store for people who appreciate their effort, time that could be spent with family, friends, pets, work, study etc… 

If someone offers to make you some art for free, that’s completely different. For that, be grateful. Be polite, thankful, and for the love of fuck, don’t go expecting it and holding your hand out like an entitled little shit.

(Also, quit trying to masquerade it off as something noble by claiming “oh, I just thought maybe I could help some poor aspiring artists to build their portfolios up”. Nah, pretty sure they could find someone to commission them more than 5k a pop for fucking practice doodles. )

Thirdly, resize it yourself. Why you gotta be lazy on top of all the rest?

This is exactly the sort of shit that exacerbates the whole situation with online commission artists undervaluing themselves. Here’s something that might shock and surprise; you’re playing an online game FOR FREE, where the shitty 5k that you call your top price can be earned in seconds. You don’t even have the decency to offer more than that. A fictional, digital currency that holds no weight in every day life. No fucking wonder that more and more artists are choosing the paypal only route now.

You don’t have enough treasure to commission an artist? Here’s a step-by-step tutorial of what you should do. 1. Sit down 2. Shut up 3. Delete your embarrassing thread 4. Keep an eye on the forum for offers of free art 5. Get your shady ass in the fairgrounds 6. Alternatively, the coliseum 7. If you’re gonna whinge about that, go breed/sell/train/exalt your dragons and earn the fucking treasure to commission artists properly. Y'know, like everyone else.

I don’t know how they’d use witchcraft on FR though...since it’s not a physical thing...I mean I guess you could try blessing yourself to try and make things on FR go better for you? I don’t how that would work...and it seems like a silly thing to try and use that for. Doing readings over the web is pretty much a no go since the person isn’t physically present.

would we be allowed to submit recolors of official site skins/accents for personal use? for example, i’d love a yellow-green version of mana relic for male imperials. people are allowed to submit recolors of genes and stuff as accents and skin, would they allow other stuff too? would it be okay to ask an admin about this? i’ve been wondering for a while, it’d be great…

You’re only allowed to submit skins that you are the original creator of so if you’re asking if you can recolor something you didn’t originaly submit then the answer would be no unless you got permission from the original skin artist.

You guys realize that this is the 3rd time since LvP that Light and Plague have had a profit push/general push together right?

I’m looking at the fourms and I’m seeing everyone going like OOOHHHH ITS LVP AGAINNN..when is reality it already happened a bunch of times.

Not really sure why there is suddenly a BUNCH of chatter around this push?? But maybe there is something going on in those flights that I’m not sure of. 

I dunno, I’m rolling my eyes whenever I see LvP stuff anymore, especially since you can REALLY start seeing Plague’s salt seep out during these fights (and I’m sure Light will be the same if/when Plague wins a conquest against them in the future).

What are you even talking about? Profit pushes are not conquest pushes and none of these have been any kind of rematch. We’re just trying to rebuild our losses at the same time...because it’s almost like we’re both recovering from the same fight or something.

It’s not a coping method, it’s a symptom that they think is a coping method. No one with any kind of psychology training would tell someone with a personality disorder or mental illness of any kind to cope by claiming to be fictional characters. That’s a sign that ones grasp on reality is not very good and it’s the biggest symptom of mental illness there is.

Now, as someone who has a mental illness, I do understand why someone with a mental illness would cope by finding characters they like that seem to be going through similar issues and indentifying with that but...that’s not what Kin means in this context and you don’t really need to use the term Kin to say that either.Otherkin are people who believe they are really animals in human bodies. That’s the original use of the tag “Kin”.You can’t just take the word Kin and stick on some other concept and say it’s something different and expect everyone to get it, especially when a good majority of your fandom is using the term to mean different things.

Most of the fictionkin I know I’m fine with. They identify WITH the character, not as the character. In fact - kin means “related”, or in this case “relating to”.

In that manner, I myself identify with Mettaton. I’m NOT Mettaton, but he’s in my kintypes because I identify with him.

I’m talking about those people who are like “i’m actually markiplier” and then blog about how hard it is being Markkin, why people should take you seriously, how the real markiplier is you from another universe and only if your mom would let you get the right software, you’d start your own youtube to prove it - and anyone who tells you that a million subscribers don’t happen overnight is a hater.

It’s MY fanart of THAT youtuber. If Mark told me to take it down (with HIS official tumblr, twitter, or facebook) I would. If he asked to use it in one of his videos, I’d feel honored. Like, I hate fictionkin, for all the reasons stated by everyone plus past bad experiences with my own characters, but...youtubers are people. They’re not fictional. They’re real people in the world with real lives.

If someone is following a real person and saying they are them and going to the point of saying they are them, trying to claim things that are theirs for themselves under this belief? Then that’s stalking and it’s criminal. It’s incredibly mentally unstable behavior.

I’m not exaggerating, that kind of shit will get you thrown in a psych ward.

Who is the best at dominance really depends on how you view it. According to the dom watch, (all stats here are from 2015 only) Plague has the most first placements at 10, Ice is second with 7 and Light with 6 in 2015. This is personally the metric I would use, as first place is an undisputed win, but I know people who would suggest that high placements overall suggest more pushes, therefore (theoretically) more profit. If this were the case then

The best would be Light at 28

Second would be Plague at 22

Third would be (very far behind) Ice at 15

Since this is mostly in response to this post, I feel like I should say that the top three are from my perspective Plague, Light and Ice. Not quite sure why nature would be considered a dom powerhouse with the lowest win rate at three, and only 10 top three placements.

I’m in no way an expert on this though so these are just my thoughts. I could be (and probably am) missing some kind of info that could change a lot, so take this with a grain of salt

I’ve always considered determining best at dom to only be determined by the number of first place wins vs the number of losses. Mostly because you don’t see any flights going at each other actually trying to get second or third. Everyone actually wants first and they settle for second and third.
