The Diatribe That Started the War
The Reigning Princess of Paranormal was not offended by the initial Craig’s List post. It was rather funny. Unfortunately, shortly after the giggles came the extreme agitation that happens when a being of higher intelligence is in the presence of sheer stupidity. Your highness got ANGRY and her claws came out to grasp the quill and pen a diatribe of pure, unadulterated PWNAGE. The Interstate Paranormal website’s main page got a temporary facelift to address the situation at hand.
ATTENTION THOSE ENTERING FROM CRAIG’S LIST
I am sorry to have to be so crass in what I have to say in this section, but I feel it is truly called for at this time.
I recently saw that we were getting traffic from a Rhode Island Craig’s List post that was not posted by any member of our team. To my knowledge, we currently have only one post on the Craig’s List in New Hampshire which was posted on June 7, 2008. I highly doubt we will be using it as a means of advertisement any longer. If you saw it on Craig’s List and it was *not* posting 711860266 - it’s not us.
Since this issue has not been allowed to die, this topic is now up for discussion & clarification in the forum.
Apparently this recent post is a lame attempt at someone trying to cause problems for or to insult a newly founded team that is trying to make a clean break from the pseudo-intellectuals, politics, and drama that has become to comprise much of the “paranormal community”. Unfortunately, whoever stooped to such a petty level is a case-in-point example of some of the many things that hold the field back – jealousy, cattiness, ignorance, immaturity, incompetence, and a serious lack of integrity.
I truly hope that one day those with a general interest in the paranormal will be able to pursue such a hobby without having to concern themselves with the sideshow attraction that it has come to be identified with.
I am sure whoever it was thought they were being real cute & witty – in a middle school snicker sort of way.
It’s time for this field to GROW UP!
Any coward can hide behind a computer. I am calling you out. Be an adult and say what you have to say to me and at least have the integrity to sign your name to it!
Perhaps we have talked, maybe you are a disgruntled former team member, and apparently I told you that your orb is a fleck of dust and it hurt your feelings. SUCK IT UP! Yes, as a professional photographer photography would become my specialty, no? What good is believing and leaning so heavily on a fallacy? Facts are facts because they are the irrefutable truth. If you force fact to yield to belief, you are doing nothing more than playing.
Well, I hope that I have at least insulted your pride by nicely telling you that your evidence…isn’t. If I haven’t, you are an entirely different breed of…just…wrong.
Ultimately, you do not know any other member of this team. Your perceived problem is with *me*. Take it up with *me*.
I felt that this needed to be addressed because I am so tired of people turning this into a charade. Some of us do more than play with ghosts and pretend to be psychic in some ritual of trying to be cool in a totally unique way. Some of us are working our butts off because we want answers – not just biased, crap answers, but the correct answers – the truth. Some of us do this because we have had something happen in our lives that made us question – reality and our own sanity – and we need to know. Those of us that do not investigate paranormal claims as part of a trend or for status and who work so hard to really get to the truth are being seriously sold short by our alleged colleagues and it is *absolutely* disgusting!
Keep fighting with one another and none of us will go anywhere. There is strength in numbers and the *only* way you can prove *anything* is by presenting a valid argument with sound logic.
So keep playing Ghost Hunters and playing with the puppies. The rest of us who are actually dedicated to this field will do our work with or without your help and roll with the big dogs.
Attempting to sabotage those of us who are making a legit attempt at validating this field is ultimately sabotaging yourself.
There. I’ve said it. What so many would like to, but no one ever has the gall to do for some sick adherence to pseudo-professionalism and political correctness.
I even have enough integrity to sign my name to it.
