Amityville II: The Possession (1982)
Oh I just had a horrible idea.
This can be read as potential dcxdp but not necessary.
What if the reveal goes sideways and Danny does end up being vivisected and sold/given to the GIW for them to do experiments on. What if somehow, someone manages to rescue him (Dan, Dani, Jazz, Jason, Constantine whoever) and drag him back to a safe house in Amity to heal before getting him the fuck out of dodge.
What if, despite having accelerated ghost healing, his wounds aren't healing because they were repeatedly opened in the same spots during experimentation. What if Danny ends up dying for real this time, or maybe falling into a deep ghost coma where he becomes only a core.
What if his core sinks into the foundations of the house to settle while he heals. And during this time his friends are chased out of town by the Fentons and the GIW. This whole time Danny's core, because his haunt is Amity, can "see" all of this happening and he grows resentful and angry.
Spooky shit keeps happening around the house anytime someone who he deems hurtful comes looking. Eventually, while danny is healing, time passes and the house becomes a legend in Amity that bad things happen at that house.

That previous post made me take a look back at my own post from long ago where I thoroughly went over the "Amityville Horror" hoax, and at the end, I mentioned how "a 12th film in the franchise is due out in 2015".
Ten years later, there is now a total of at least 72 MOVIES with "Amityville" in their title.
All films using "Amityville" in the title. Also includes films that originally had "Amityville" in the title before being retitled.
The book and first movie were scary stories. The second and third films were also decent.
However, when you really think about it, it's kinda messed up that this massive franchise was spawned from the murder of a family.
