THE SANTA CLAUSE 1994, dir. John Pasquin
Netflix: we think theatres are dying
Markiplier: my indie film is seven weeks from release, and has gone from being distributed in 50 theaters to almost 300 theaters in three days almost 500 theaters in four days OVER 1000 theaters in five days
Take that Netflix.

The red gloves and tie are so on point; he looks amazing and I'm so happy for him!
do you get deja vu ?
to my swiftie friends who now would like to explore hamlet. absolutely read it. but also watch it first. find a production on youtube and watch it. shakespeare is not the same as books. it is meant and is written to be acted and you will understand the language faster watching a performance and hearing the tempo and inflection out loud. then go read it with footnotes etc and then watch it again.
some resources
to watch (from this post) ~ David Tennant - 2009 ~ Ethan Hawke & Diane Venora - 2000 ~ Kenneth Branagh's - 1989 ~ BCC's Part One & Two - 1990 ~ Broadway - 1964 ~ Christopher Plummer - 1964 ~ Laurence Olivier's - 1948
to read Folgers Shakespeare Library ~ full synopsis ~ read or download a pdf copy of the full text for free ~ they are the publishers of great notated editions that are about $10 US ~ digital image library with cool stuff in it ~essays about shakespeare and his plays ~ this blog post about how Ophelia is depicted in 19th ct art is interesting ~ just overall a very comprehensive resource go forth and explore it and see what you find!
Free annotated copy
Other ~ Ophelia (2018) - the story from her perspective ~ To Be or Not To Be by Ryan North - choose your own adventure Hamlet ~ La Mort d'Ophelie by Berlioz - just a favorite of mine
and of course me! happy to dive into anything else with anyone!
There are also free audiobooks with full casts, which I find are perfect for plays:
LibriVox
shawn n gus from psych r probably some of the most codependent characters I’ve ever seen on television but they do it in a ✨fun✨ way like yes they’ll throw up n die if they go two days without seeing each other but that would never happen so dw 💖
like there’s an episode where shawn n juliet were supposed to go on a couples retreat so gus came to watch them drive away, juliet asks if they’re going to be ok going two whole days without seeing each other, and all by myself plays while gus stands alone in the parking lot. and spoiler, they do not actually go two days whole days without seeing each other
saw this thread and really loved it but what i liked most is that it taught this kid that if a book isn’t for you, even if you really want to like it, it’s okay to stop reading it and come back to it another time when you are ready. there were so many books i slogged through as a kid because i felt like i had to prove that i could read them since i *loved* reading so i simply had to finish this book or i didn’t actually love to read. silly, really. the more kids who don’t ascribe to that thinking the better. really great of both the dad and the librarian for allowing the kid access to the stephen king book and allowing him make the decision on whether or not it was for him by himself.
found some old notes from unus annus era and one of them just says "UA is cursed phineas and ferb" and yeah. still sounds about right
we will never forget about this photoshoot (and he makes sure we do not)

Happy New Year! 🎇
i hope that in 2025 u get to take more walks, read more books, connect with more people whom u love and who love u, achieve ur goals (even if ur goals are having no goals and just living in the moment), exercise fun hobbies, move from a place of self-direction, and weave together a beguiling assortment of beautiful little moments. remember that no feeling lasts forever. love u
Do you ever have a show that has you in a chokehold and you love it so much but it's also actually the worst piece of media to ever come out but it's your precious baby and you're in too deep
