Instead of doing more of the background studies, I decided to add more details to the Jeff [Gerad] image I posted yesterday in an effort to manufacture my own seratonin/be the change I wish to see in the world/imagine a world not of ruin but of balance/deal with RSD.
I have been playing a romhack of a romhack of FF6, a derivative of Brave New World called Final Frontier. One of the many amazing things is the Dragoon Edgar build, and my toxic trait is to make him do his double jump thing instead of relying on him as a support character. *sighs* (to be fair, I also want to make his brother punch things when he is most useful as a whole party MP battery/healer)
Anyway. Dragoon Edgar has been living rent-free in my head for a while, so I drew him... and then I remembered that we a) live in the World of Ruin and b) who single-handedly manufactures more seratonin for yours truly than Edgar as his alter-ego Jeff [Gerad in the NA translation]? So I did two versions. Two cakes!
It’s one thing to see magic being done when it’s over *there*, on an enemy or whatever.
But what does it feel like to have magic done on *you*? Edgar was apprehensive at first, but man, now he is just relaaaaaaxed. ^______^
(This whole comic is a set-up for Edgar’s dumbest pick-up line ever, yet it kind of works? Maybe??)
Life imitates art. While making this comic I had a root canal on a molar on my right side. The recovery is slow and painful. My jaw right now is swollen, just like Edgar’s. As I work on the comic I’m thinking, “dang I could use some of that cure magic” 🤕

It’s been a long time since I last saw this comic. So long that reading it feels fresh again! Guess I’m due to start on a new one soon, huh?
This comic was drawn in conjunction with a certain painful root canal I was undergoing; that process is still ongoing for me as the treatment is not fully complete. It takes a lot of patience dealing with tooth stuff! But I’m not in pain anymore and soon neither will Edgar be 🤕

I’m especially proud of the wiggly scalloped line on the top and bottom. I used a specialty blade on my paper cutter and trimmed each and every page by hand 🤯
