n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate...
The Darkness - Love Is Only A Feeling (Official Music Video)
You were right about me.
I think there's... uh... something in my eye. Okay, both eyes. Yeah I'll be okay, just give me a minute.Â
Don’t punk Tuco’s abuelita…
Grace was in all her steps, heaven in her eye, in every gesture dignity and love.

Last year, people came up with some pretty great #ScienceValentines - let’s keep that rolling! How would you express your love for that special scientist in your life? Tweet @nprscience or message me, and I’ll collect the best ones.
The Siren’s song
I’ve never fared a sea, or memory;
On shore, shedding holy water, you stood,
Or sat? My memory oft lies to me;
I thank you for the thoughts you drowned, now flood;
Beneath the flotsam, breath returned - you sung;
I was then saved from such immersing tides,
Words sickly sweet were spat from bloated tongue;
I thanked the siren, savouring her vibes -
My poetry was lost in translation:
“You load your words, but from another’s gun.
“I am no Siren meant for fixation.
“My love can not be won with witty pun”
I bite my thumb now at most every man,
Who’d spit true love as wit to prove he can.
Untitled sonnet
This dying season plays a vital role
Incausing caution in my step and heart;
These bleakly frigid nights have took their toll
On my temperament – I play no part –
It’s Winter’s breath that froze my body whole!
The year’s embers smoke on dampened coal,
Yet shadows from that Flame do not depart,
They linger in my memories and art;
As fog obstructs the window, I recall
Your smile’s warmth when snow began to fall.
I shall sow a new seed when the sun’s high;
Liberated at springtime I’ll stand tall,
For the time to pick Flowers now draws nigh,
And I crave new perfume now above all.
Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus, performed by Oxford Theatre Guild Watching this rn and loving the energy of the performance. I heartily recommend.

When my last brick was laid, I was still far from homely. Over several weeks the newlyweds transformed my bare body into a sentimental collage: mementos were arranged atop my fireplace ledge, memories hung from my walls, and their scent clung to the fabrics they dressed me in. The first visitors I had were Molly’s parents, and I was terribly nervous, it all seemed so awfully sudden, as I had known Molly for only a matter of months. I was so relieved that they didn’t notice my red wine stain on the living room carpet that their critique of the bathroom’s paint colour didn’t even phase me, and once they had left, I was filled with laughter at how worriedly I had been groomed in order to impress them; I think having their wedding photo above the mantelpiece is what won them over! Molly and Kurt laughed so much in that first year, it was bliss for all of us, they were finally at home, one which they alone had brought into existence; my body was a reflection of theirs.Â
