So when the kid was in camp, he started a plant. I have no idea what it is (probably a lima bean lol) but it's been growing super crazy. So we decided to start gardening. I got a few $1 plants from target as test plants. It was a fun experience that we're gonna keep up. Were gonna plan a fall garden, but we're also gonna start a nature journal. Y'all friend turns 5 today. It's wild. 5 years ago, he was born thru force after 36+ hours of labor. He was two weeks late. I was induced. I ended up getting a c section instead of unmedicated birth I "planned" for. And that was the first parenting lesson he taught me. You cant "plan" kids to be who and what you want them to be and do what you want them to. They just are who they are. You guide and nurture. But you encourage and give them the space to be them. He walked when he wanted. Talked when he wanted. Potty trained when he wanted. I haven't been able to plan for bin to do a thing, and I don't expect that to change anytime in the future.
