Cliffside Changes: A New Beginning
Chapter 1: The Cliff
I was just having another one of those lull moments in my life. It’s as if I’ve hit a metaphorical wall, like isn’t bad but it’s not exactly great either. I’ve got a typical 9-5 that makes enough to pay the bills to keep a roof over my head and my belly full. I can’t complain too much but it has definitely become a very mundane life. My dating life is not terrible but I’m just your basic run of the mill guy; average height and features, not too heavy or too thin, and no memorable characteristics. It was just another one of those days where I had to come to “my spot”. It’s nothing special, just a secluded cliffside off the coast where I can just sit and think. I usually stop by with the hopes that after leaving something will change in my life, like I’ll have an epiphany.
Today was that day…
I was just sitting in my normal spot and just when I was just about to get up and leave, I slipped off the cliffside. Next thing I knew I was being splashed by the water below. I had somehow miraculously survived that fall but something felt off. Beyond the fact I felt no pain after dropping several stories, my whole body felt different; it’s as if I was a whole new person. I took a second to catch my bearings and get to a dryer part of the shore and reevaluate myself and overall being. While wiping the salt water off of my face, I felt a huge difference in my features. This was not my face.
I began to feel more of my body just to realize that this was not the body I’ve had for the past 30 years, it was completely different. I had a golden tan which I was never able to achieve with my prior complexion. I had muscles I could have only achieved in my dreams. I was curious to see what else changed in my life beyond my body and if I was just dreaming all of this or if I had died and this is my afterlife. I needed to get back home and find out more about my body and new life.
Luckily once I made the trek back up the cliff face, my belongings, like my keys and phone, were all still where I left them before the fall. Checking the time on my phone, it seems as if almost no time has passed. As I was finally making my way back to my car, I was able to get a glimpse of my new face in the sideview mirrors. I had dark curly hair that I saw all the trendy influencers rocking. I had defining masculine facial features that all the models had. This was all so new to me, I have never felt or looked so good before. I now needed to get back home to do more body exploration.
Once I made it back to my apartment, it was like I walked into a whole new home. This was not the ikea furniture I put together years ago, this was a whole new designer set up. So not only has my whole body changed but my material items as well. After checking out all of my new things, I eventually made my way to my bathroom as I needed to wash off all the saltwater. This was more so my excuse to do some full body examination in a private setting.
