Obligatory Christmas tree pic complete with “Aussie Jingle Bells” from our neighbors in Brisbane.

Macca’s newest employee on his way to work! Sorin found the job, applied and interviewed all on his own. His online school program allows for a flexible schedule which is ideal. I love how he comes home with stories and what he’s learned that day. Good on ya, Sorin. 🍔🍟🥤

After a day to recover from Lewis River and restock our marshmallow supply we were off to Elk Meadows for our first two night trip. We were lucky enough to snag the shelter which helped on the chilly mornings. On our day hike Sorin determined we needed to find snow so he could throw a snowball at me in July.

Also, our pack dog was amazing.

The kids and I had our first backpacking adventure (since Australia) last week. Good ‘ole Lewis River was spectacular and just what we needed.

Teague was doing silent training this evening. Also, this is our dog, Bonjo. We adopted him a month ago from the local shelter. He is an absolute dream!
