Sero Hanta is not handling your absence like a normal person. At first, it starts off as “concerned boyfriend energy.” He’s quiet for like… five WHOLE minutes…then someone(kaminari) mentions: “Hey, Y/N’s still on that mission, right?”
Aaaaand something in him snaps.
“Yeah,” Sero says, too calmly. “On a mission. Alone. Again. Cool. Awesome. Love that for her!”Cue immediate workplace hostility.
Bakugo says something mildly annoying?
Sero: “At least I don’t leave my partner emotionally stranded.”
Kaminari laughs?
Sero: “You laugh like someone wants a FOOT UP THE A-“
He’s not even loud about it. That’s the worst part. It’s like a very polite menace…
Meanwhile, internally, he’s spiraling:
“They’re probably fine. They’re trained. They’re competent. But what if they’re not fine. What if they got hurt. What if I’m literally the last person they texted and I answered ‘lol ok I love you’ like an idiot—”
Externally? He’s weaponizing sarcasm like it’s a quirk, Denki eventually tries to calm him down:
“Dude… Y/N’s coming back soon. It’ll be like…three days!”
Sero is an unhappy camper. “Oh great. So I can return to being emotionally stable in like, what, 3–5 business days?”
But the second he gets even a hint that your mission is wrapping up? He’s already at the door. Arms ready. Acting like he didn’t just emotionally terrorize half the hero agency for fun. “…MI VIDAAAAAAAA!!!” he screams when you show up. “…I missed you,” he admits immediately after, crashing into you something serious.
Then he adds, “…Don’t go so far again without warning me corazón.” And yes—he still looks like he’s ready to fight the very concept of ‘distance between you and him’ itself.
