All Female YouTube Channel (IMPORTANT)

Hello everyone, it’s me! Jessie! And I wanted to bring an important topic to the table.

Would any ladies out there (writers, artists, filmmakers, etc.) be open to the idea of working on an all Female YouTube Channel with me???

The reason I’m asking for gals is that I can’t find a whole lot just ladies YouTube Channel “groups” (ex. like Achievement Hunter, Funhaus, Game Grumps, etc.) Whether in gaming or in a general sense. So, basically, I want to add an all-female team to a YouTube Channel. All the personalities, editors, researchers, etc. I want to be female!

This channel (which I have titled “Purpur’s Creations”, this name might be temporary or permanent, idk) will be dedicated to Writing, Art, Film Making, and all aspects of creative subjects AND if we can, Learning to too!

Here are some of the topics/series ideas I’ve toyed with thus far:

Dames - A video series where I talk about ladies in mythology, history, legends, or even characters in books!

Cloud Nine - Talking About GOOD news (anything happy, heart-lifting, nice, etc.). This show I want to have a section/portion where we show off art, stories, and maybe other videos we’ve discovered throughout the week! The reason for this series is because I feel like there’s just too much negative news at this time, I just feel like that I want to see more positive and less negative, you know?

Writing Wednesday - Basically a weekly or every other week show about writing, where we can discuss anything and everything writing related.

Topical Art Video Series - I gotta say, I’m stumped when it comes to the title of this series, and I’m no expert on art. But the concept for this series is basically we doodle/draw for the series and we talk about various topics relating to the piece of art we’re making!

Cooking Quest - A cooking show, where we seek out new and interesting recipes and challenge each other (preferably two people at a time) to earn the title of “Top Chef” for the week! I want this to be a weekly show, where our friends, neighbors, and or family judges the food!

Weekly Podcast - A Basic weekly podcast where we talk about anything and everything, from news stories we hadn’t gotten to in Cloud Nine, to maybe even community stuff when we get enough of a following!

… And those are the main concepts for now, but I wanted to see if any of your guys wanted to be apart of this concept, or were at the very least interested in it.

I’m going to do my best to find top-notch gals to work alongside this project, I’m also going to need some help with this project as well behind the scenes and on video.

We’re gonna need:

Video “Personalities” (Basically people to star in the videos with me, or even on their own!)

Video Editors (Not too many in my opinion, maybe 2 or 3 to work beside me! I intend to be knee deep in the editing!)

Image Designers (For Thumbnails, Video Visuals, etc.)

Researchers (For some of the news stories, mythology, and history matters we’ll be covering.)

Social Media Manager (Only one will be chosen! You’ll be in charge of and have access to all Social Media (MINUS YOUTUBE) and be in charge of making posts!)

Script Writers (For Skits and Scripted Videos, This can either be 1 position alone or a 2nd position to any previous positions.)

…And potentially more people, I’ll include a link to a google form where you can apply for the team! The only two requirements are: You are female, and you are 18 and up!

Hmm, I might end up lowering the age to 16 and up, but idk right now because you’re only the second person who’s come forth and said you can’t because of your age. I’ll sleep on the idea for tonight and make a final decision in the morning.

All Female YouTube Channel - UPDATE (6/23/18)

Hello everyone, it’s me Jessie or aka the prompt person! Here to give you an update on the future All Female YouTube Channel! (The name is still a wip, so I’ll just be referring to it as “the project” lol.)

First of all, at the current time, we have (including myself) 13 members of our team and on the discord server! Some people that I’ve contacted, I still haven’t gotten a response from, so if I’ve contacted you, please respond if you’d still want a place on the team!

At this time (if any of you still want to apply), we can still use maybe 1 researcher (maybe 2) and maybe 1 or 2 more scriptwriters! Also another Image Editor would never hurt!

I think we’re good with personalities (we currently have 4 minus myself, and potentially 1 more on the way).

What we really need right now are video editors! So if you know your way around video editing, come on and apply!

We will be having our first meeting tomorrow to discuss various topics regarding the channel, workflow, and more things! Maaaaaybe even a date for when the channel is launched, but I don’t know at the current time.

This channel (which I have titled “Purpur’s Creations”, this name might be temporary or permanent, idk) will be dedicated to Writing, Art, Film Making, and all aspects of creative subjects AND if we can, Learning to too!

Here are some of the topics/series ideas I’ve toyed with thus far:

Dames - A video series where I talk about ladies in mythology, history, legends, or even characters in books!

Cloud Nine - Talking About GOOD news (anything happy, heart-lifting, nice, etc.). This show I want to have a section/portion where we show off art, stories, and maybe other videos we’ve discovered throughout the week! The reason for this series is because I feel like there’s just too much negative news at this time, I just feel like that I want to see more positive and less negative, you know?

Writing Wednesday - Basically a weekly or every other week show about writing, where we can discuss anything and everything writing related.

Topical Art Video Series - I gotta say, I’m stumped when it comes to the title of this series, and I’m no expert on art. But the concept for this series is basically we doodle/draw for the series and we talk about various topics relating to the piece of art we’re making!

Cooking Quest - A cooking show, where we seek out new and interesting recipes and challenge each other (preferably two people at a time) to earn the title of “Top Chef” for the week! I want this to be a weekly show, where our friends, neighbors, and or family judges the food!

Weekly Podcast - A Basic weekly podcast where we talk about anything and everything, from news stories we hadn’t gotten to in Cloud Nine, to maybe even community stuff when we get enough of a following!

… And those are the main concepts for now, but I wanted to see if any of your guys wanted to be apart of this concept, or were at the very least interested in it.

I’m going to do my best to find top-notch gals to work alongside this project, I’m also going to need some help with this project as well behind the scenes and on video.

We’re gonna need:

Video “Personalities” (Basically people to star in the videos with me, or even on their own!)

Video Editors (Not too many in my opinion, maybe 2 or 3 to work beside me! I intend to be knee deep in the editing!)

Equipment/Software, GoFundMe?, And a Name - All Female YouTube Project!

Hey everyone, I’m here to provide a few updates to this initial post right here regarding a YouTube Channel ran entirely by ladies, that’s about creativity and learning!

First thing I want to specify is what position will need what necessary equipment/software. I’ll be listing the positions from most intense about equipment/software necessary to least. (Also items with * next to them mean they can be optional depending on the situation)!

Video Personalities  - *Portable Camera (720p or 1080p), *Webcam (720p or 1080p), Microphone (Computer, Camera, or Phone, DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU FILM WITH!), OBS, Audacity, Discord, and a Google Account/Drive!

Video Editors - Video Editing Software, *Audacity, *OBS, Discord, and a Google Account/Drive!

Image Editors - Image Editing Software, Discord, and a Google Account/Drive!

Researchers, Social Media Manager, and Script Writers - Discord and a Google Account/Drive!

Now I would like to note that for Video Personalities, you can either have a portable camera that can record at the very least 720p (A phone can work!) and or a Webcam that can film in 720p! Either or both would be acceptable, with a portable camera like a normal digital camera or a phone would be a bit better if you don’t have a webcam, because that way you’ll have a bit for freedom for where you can record!

I would also like to note with Video Editors, you don’t NEED to have Audacity or OBS, but I would at the very least recommend Audacity, it’s free audio recording/editing software, and it’s probably the best free one you’ll find and chances are it’ll come in use one way or another.

Next up, I have a small little poll for y’all regarding two questions, you don’t need to leave a name or your age, or anything personal. Just your opinion on what the name of the group should be called AND if we should start a GoFundMe or some sort of funding campaign for this project (all money will go to equipment, software, and the channel in general).

The GoFundMe is mainly an idea because some people can’t afford good software, or equipment, and some of you can be struggling financially. And like I said in another post, I want to give all the ladies here a chance!

So if any of you could put your 2 cents into this poll, it’d be very appreciated!

—–You’ve actually brought up a pretty good question anon (and also don’t worry about “bothering” me, I’ll answer almost any question about this project)! I’m honestly just really happy that you’ve brought up a good question.

I myself am only 15 and happen to be in a financially poor household, and I was wanting to know if that would affect things? I would still have to check with my family to make sure it is okay, but I would love to help out if I can!”

As far as people from financially poor households, I’ll be cutting you guys some slack on the equipment portion of the form (as long as you specify that you’re from a financially poor household!). If you wish to act as a face/personality with this project however- if you have a laptop with an (at least) 720p recording webcam, that might be all you’ll need for selective videos (If you have a separate camera that’ll record in 720p, that’ll do too, heck that might even be better than the webcam)!

As far as software goes, the key three softwares I’ll recommend for recording ANYTHING off of the computer is, OBS Studio, Audacity, and Discord. OBS is a screen recorder, Audacity is an Audio Recorder, and Discord isn’t actually for recording, but will be a necessity for organizing everyone together (It’s basically like Skype). Best part??? All three softwares are 100% Free!

As far as free/cheap video editing software goes, I still need to do research!

And honestly, I don’t think your gonna need any camera or webcam if you apply for a researcher, scriptwriter, social media manager, OR designer position. I’ll go into more detail on another post about which position needs what tools!

I’ll also do research on cheap but good equipment for people with financial issues, I want everyone to have a chance! :)

I’ll be accepting submissions for probably the next month or two honestly. BUT I’ll be making decisions on the Researchers, Designers, and Script Writers as soon as possible, within the next 10 to 15 Days. 

If you want to be a personality/face on the channel, I can always hold a spot for you. I want to get as many personalities/faces I can get. I know I put 3-5 on the form buuuut I think I’m going to try and gather at most 7 people.

You can go ahead and apply if you want! Just make sure that you specify that your living situation will be wacky for the next month or two like you said in the “what days of the week are you free” portion!

All Female YouTube Channel (IMPORTANT)

Hello everyone, it’s me! Jessie! And I wanted to bring an important topic to the table.

Would any ladies out there (writers, artists, filmmakers, etc.) be open to the idea of working on an all Female YouTube Channel with me???

The reason I’m asking for gals is that I can’t find a whole lot just ladies YouTube Channel “groups” (ex. like Achievement Hunter, Funhaus, Game Grumps, etc.) Whether in gaming or in a general sense. So, basically, I want to add an all-female team to a YouTube Channel. All the personalities, editors, researchers, etc. I want to be female!

This channel (which I have titled “Purpur’s Creations”, this name might be temporary or permanent, idk) will be dedicated to Writing, Art, Film Making, and all aspects of creative subjects AND if we can, Learning to too!

Here are some of the topics/series ideas I’ve toyed with thus far:

Dames - A video series where I talk about ladies in mythology, history, legends, or even characters in books!

Cloud Nine - Talking About GOOD news (anything happy, heart-lifting, nice, etc.). This show I want to have a section/portion where we show off art, stories, and maybe other videos we’ve discovered throughout the week! The reason for this series is because I feel like there’s just too much negative news at this time, I just feel like that I want to see more positive and less negative, you know?

Writing Wednesday - Basically a weekly or every other week show about writing, where we can discuss anything and everything writing related.

Topical Art Video Series - I gotta say, I’m stumped when it comes to the title of this series, and I’m no expert on art. But the concept for this series is basically we doodle/draw for the series and we talk about various topics relating to the piece of art we’re making!

Cooking Quest - A cooking show, where we seek out new and interesting recipes and challenge each other (preferably two people at a time) to earn the title of “Top Chef” for the week! I want this to be a weekly show, where our friends, neighbors, and or family judges the food!

Weekly Podcast - A Basic weekly podcast where we talk about anything and everything, from news stories we hadn’t gotten to in Cloud Nine, to maybe even community stuff when we get enough of a following!

… And those are the main concepts for now, but I wanted to see if any of your guys wanted to be apart of this concept, or were at the very least interested in it.

I’m going to do my best to find top-notch gals to work alongside this project, I’m also going to need some help with this project as well behind the scenes and on video.

We’re gonna need:

Video “Personalities” (Basically people to star in the videos with me, or even on their own!)

Video Editors (Not too many in my opinion, maybe 2 or 3 to work beside me! I intend to be knee deep in the editing!)

Image Designers (For Thumbnails, Video Visuals, etc.)

Researchers (For some of the news stories, mythology, and history matters we’ll be covering.)

Social Media Manager (Only one will be chosen! You’ll be in charge of and have access to all Social Media (MINUS YOUTUBE) and be in charge of making posts!)

Script Writers (For Skits and Scripted Videos, This can either be 1 position alone or a 2nd position to any previous positions.)

…And potentially more people, I’ll include a link to a google form where you can apply for the team! The only two requirements are: You are female, and you are 18 and up!

(And to be honest, if we’re going to be all girls and discussing myths and intellectual stuff, then maybe we could call us Athena’s Army? Just an idea.)

Hmm, I might end up lowering the age to 16 and up, but idk right now because you’re only the second person who’s come forth and said you can’t because of your age. I’ll sleep on the idea for tonight and make a final decision in the morning.
