Hey all. I was born a male named Matt but I realized at age 13 in my first science class that I related to protons more than my friends and family. I had a strong bond with protons and realized I was proton kin. I couldn't express that until I learned of tumblr and otherkins. Thanks tumblr for letting me express myself

As an otherkin who is over the age of 18, I get discouraged seeing so many otherkin that are super young here on tumblr. Are there any otherkins over the age of 18? I'm 24, and I feel like a stranger in the community.

Hey new friends on tumblr

Hey tumblr, 

I'm not really sure how all of this works but I thought i should share some of my story.

It started when I was 13. I realized in science class that I had a strange fascination with protons. The teacher kept talking but I was focused on the images of atoms. I didn't know how to express this to my family. They just said I was a science nerd. I tried to tell my mom that I just felt like a bunch of protons but she said I was being weird.

Fast forward a few years and I know now that i am protonkin. My name was man but I decided a more accurate description of what I am is protonman. Please don't make fun of me saying its like superhero, it seriously just describes who I am.

I hope to make new otherkin friends and share in the battle for acceptance.
