M. A. Thompson excerpt from the poem- âI Wonât Write My Poem âTill Iâm In My Right Mindâ
John 20:21
"Peace be with you." đđ
Psalms 126:5
âRemember the time you thought you never could survive? You did, and you can do it again.â
â unknown (via samxcamargo)
âIf your eyes are pure, then your heart is true. If your hands are clean, holy is the ground underneath you.â
â
âDear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.â
â 1 John 3
When Jesus told the adulterous woman to, âGo and sin no more...â He was actually telling her, âNow that you see Me and now that You know Me go and do (love) the same...â
What is freedom then? To be with Him. To see Him. To know Him. You are free to the extent of your fellowship with Jesus no matter what you may feel stuck in or confused about.
The level of your relationship with Jesus defines the level of passion in your worship.
Itâs hard to love Him and worship Him when you feel discouraged. Itâs hard to worship Him when your eyes arenât fixed on truth and life is speaking louder.
Faith is something that grows in us over a period of time. When we face challenges, health problems, marital, job or other difficulties, the temptation is to run and hide hoping they will go away. The problem is that when we wake up, they are still there! No, we must face the problem head on with Godâs power within us. Pray for wisdom how to fight, suit up with Godâs armour ready to go into battle and continue fighting until you have a testimony.
Jesus turned water into wine when they ran out of wine at the wedding feast.
Today we see many places that have run dry of spiritual wine and are running on water. As I read the scriptures this morning I was impressed by the Holy Spirit that this was a time to pray that Godâs vine be tapped into and release His presence in our lives and our churches.
Where is the raising of the dead, the healing miracles, the deliverances that were common in the time of Jesus and occasionally through the years. We need to hunger for new wine to be put into new wine skins that we may overflow with Godâs passion in our lives.
This is not a season to lay back and wish but to actively pursue His presence like never before. Many of us have had set backs that have slowed us down or put out the fire of God in our lives.
Today, it is time to not look back on failures in our walk with God but rather to stir up our loins to press in and drink the new wine which is better than what was first served.
There is new life waiting to come upon us and with His anointing, it will prepare us to be a Holy people set apart for His glory to be upon us and work through us.
Revive the ancient wells, stir up your gifting and release yourselves to a world that is hungry for the new wine.
Today, cast aside the old wine skins and embrace the new. Release faith to speak to that mountain in your life and cast it into the sea.
Self-Focused Prayer
The longer you live away from Jesus, the more you forget what you really look like during the times youâve spent with Him. Being with Him is like looking at the clearest picture of yourself. He tells you the truth about you. He is the truth about you. Youâll never know the real you apart from knowing Him as He is.
Romans 1
You Are Already Beautiful.
You are worthy enough, strong enough, and capable enough regardless of your possessions.
You donât need the newest all-in-one makeup kit to make yourself look beautiful, because you already are. The new âbootyliciousâ yoga pants arenât needed; youâre already rocking it!
But you need to look even further for who you really are. And to see who this is, look inside. All of the most beautiful aspects of you are right there. Itâs your personality, your interests, and your weird little quirks that make you, you. Youâre entirely unique; not just different by the jeans you wear or the perfume you use, but by the characteristics that you were born with, and have had all along. So the next time you see another misleading advertisement, just walk away, because you know that you truly already have everything.
And thatâs the existence of you.
Mary Oliver
