His eomma, Ji-an, bless her soul (she's still alive!), was the only person he and his little sister knew growing up. She never talked about her family. Ever.
His father died when he was eleven, so she was the only one working at the time. In his teens, he begged his eomma to let him get a job. Ji-an never allowed it and told him to only focus on his studies.
Ji-woo was the resident kid to be made fun of because he was broke. He hated it. So much. It was part of the reason he wanted a job in the first place. The other half was that he just wanted to help his mother out with bills.
In his spare time, he would play his fathers bipa. Sometimes, playing it would make him cry. It was one of many remnants of his father, but it still hurt.
He was a good man.
Ji-woo would also write songs. Anything that came to him, he would write down in his journal. One of many that he had. Ji-an would encourage his talent and wanted him to pursue a music career.
He, like the others, got a scholarship to a KPOP school in Korea. That's where they all meet!

Romance is asian and Ghanaian. Mama Mayana is Jamaican (Ghanaian), and Appa Hyun-woo is Korean. He grew up in Jamaica for thirteen years before having to move to Korea.
Both of his parents love each other in this version. They are also free-spirited folks. Well, at least trying to be. They cut ties with their old families and are trying to make a life for themselves. As well as breaking generational curses.
So, Ro doesn't know any direct biological family members, but he does know his non-bio ones. Tons of friends of his parents that he sees as "aunties" and "uncles". They're children as his cousins.
He speaks French, English, and patwa/patois. He took French in high school and learned about it more at home.

Raised by both of his parents within the same household. Mainly middle-class folks. They could and couldn't afford most things depending on the week.

Father did make it a habit for Ro to know Korean, so he was able to fit in somewhat well. Oh! Instead of his father teaching him to love his curls, he taught him to hate them. His solution to erasing anything about the woman he had involved herself with was to force help Ro to flat iron them.

Little Myst did survive and was adopted by a nice couple. They raised him as their own as much as they could. Loved him to bits. However, Mystery never felt as if he belonged with them. Don't get him wrong, he loved them. But, he also isn't an idiot. He looks absolutely nothing like his ma and pa.
Mystery had accidentally hurt one of his parents very badly and had run from what happened. What's the point in staying? He's more than likely a monster in their eyes. It was a full moon. He didn't mean it! HE DIDN'T MEAN IT!

I think I prefer Mystery just having a big, mixed, cryptid family than idea two. But let me know which idea makes the most sense or which one you like the most.

Also, in my head, the only one that would be asian passing is Mystery. Baby and Romance are darker. But I want things to fit the canon designs a little bit.
1610! Miles x Mirabel Madrigal/ 42! Miles x Camilo Madrigal HC's
I'm bored (also inspired by @eclecticeternitywolf - I was able to get this much out.)
Why do I ship them? Cause I can. And-
They both like art. Mirabel is obviously more into textile art and physical crafts. While Miles is obviously more into drawing, painting, and spray painting. I can just imagine them teaching each other their favorite crafts. Well, Mirabel can't draw to save her life, but she loves graffiti so far.
Miles is trying to learn how to sew and embroider. He prefers to learn along with her rather than by himself because she's the best person in the world in his eyes. And yes, he gets a gazillion pin pricks with or without her help. It's expected at this point.
Both of them are silly little goobers who love to dance and make people laugh. Their main love language is banter and coming up with ways to make the other laugh.
Miles' second love language is words of affirmation, and his third is gift giving. He always tells Mirabel how pretty she is and gives her drawings of her in many different styles. He even made half heart pendant for them both.
Mirabel's second love language is also gift giving and physical touch. She gets too flustered for words of affirmation; she hopes hand holding and cheek kisses are enough. They are - he melts every time.
He talks her down when she's having an anxiety attack and will ABSOLUTELY NOT let her talk badly about herself (which she has a tendency to do).
She hugs him and talks to him to help with his panic attacks. She even sings if she can't think of anything to say.
Camilo is the only other person besides Rio and Aaron who can make Miles G laugh. Like, literally burst out laughing and snorting level laughing.
These two are the embodiment of Golden retriever x Black cat. Camilo is always happy to see his boyfriend. Miles is just as happy but a little bit more subdued.
Camilo's love language is physical touch and food. He knows Miles doesn't like PDA, so they snuggle and are just plain adorable in private.
Miles has tons of drawings of Milo in his sketchbook. Like a lot. And when they met, let's say around 5th grade, he never stopped talking about him. They officially started dating around 8th grade.
Miles' love language is gift giving, quality time, and food (everyone who knows Camilo knows he loves food). He tries to buy stuff he thinks Milo would like whenever he's out. From charms, bracelets, snacks, corny 1930s movies, plushies, whatever.
I have an au where Camilo exists in Earth 42, and he's the "Orange cat". Like a black cat, but make it orange. And if you know anything about orange cats, you know they are chaotic gremlins in cat font. They are dating in this au, but they don't know each other's secret identity. They are just really suspicious of each other's random injuries.
And even though Orange Cat is quite literally ORANGE. He's still able to be elusive and get away every time.
They love bantering while playing co-op games. They make sure to keep the trash talk wholesome if family members are around. Especially their mamas.
If Miles just needs silence and a hug, Camilo will gladly give him that. He'll even let him cry on his shoulder if that's what he needs.
