This #ShotoftheWeek is from "Interstellar", one of my favorite films of all time! Would definitely recommend seeing it, especially if you're a science fiction fan! "Interstellar" is a moving and thrilling story with gorgeous visuals, outstanding performances and impeccable directing from the legendary Christopher Nolan!

Film Review: "War for the Planet for the Apes" Tensions have continued to rise since the onset of a new war between humans and apes, and Caesar (Andy Serkis) is forced to fight a new enemy as the mysterious Colonel (Woody Harrelson) and his military forces attack his home. Caesar must confront the Colonel and save his kind, but he must also confront his innermost demons if he is to survive. What a finale to such an amazing prequel franchise! Director Matt Reeves (who helmed the previous installment) continues to outdo himself, delivering a dark, thrilling, beautifully made cinematic masterpiece that packs an emotional wallop. Andy Serkis is a true star, I have no idea why he hasn't gotten Oscar recognition for his work. He so dedicated in every role he is and has been given and it really shows. Every movement, every word of dialogue spoken, every action portrayed by this actor on-screen (though it is via motion-capture) feels real and genuine. And though Caesar is an ape, Serkis portrays the character so well that we feel for him. He is almost human, and he is haunted by his actions and his future. Andy Serkis has given an astonishing performance in this franchise and deserves an Oscar for his great work in this film. Woody Harrelson gives a chilling supporting performance as the antagonist of the film. Harrelson is an excellent actor as well, and I'm looking forward to seeing him in future films such as "The Glass Castle" and the Han Solo Star Wars spinoff (🎉)! "War" boasts absolutely gorgeous cinematography and camerawork, and a tense, often emotional score by the one and only composer Michael Giacchino (also returning from scoring "Dawn"). Be on the lookout for a couple Easter eggs and references as well! I do have to warn you though, be prepared to shed some tears in the climax/conclusion. Reeves concludes this trilogy with a bittersweet note and I could only imagine how proud Pierre Boulle (the original author of the Planet of the Apes, which adapted into film) would be of this franchise. "War" is a gritty, riveting and moving work of cinema. What a ride. "Apes. Together. Strong." Rating: 9.0/10
