There was no doubt that he was nervous. This office looked so plain. It was almost sterile, like a hospital room. He was that much closer to releasing a full record, but his name could use a bit more recognition and what better way to do that than collab with a well-known name in the business? He went by Ryker and daehyun really appreciated the art the guy put out. to be featured in a single of his would open up so many doors for daehyun. He only hoped Ryker--or Matt would feel the same. It was their labels that had gotten in touch, not them personally so now Daehyun waited in this office. He drummed his fingers on the table and spoke aloud to himself, a nervous habit of his.

The sounds of his beats thumped through the club. Both singles of his had charted well and his label decided to put something together to garner more attention and more traction. Daehyun knew it was a necessary evil so he let it be, playing the part of the guest of honour.

After all, this was his dream, was it not?

So the guest of honour found himself frequenting the bar a lot after ingesting his two little pill friends earlier that night. He found himself loose and open to the crowdedness of the room. Smiling and laughing graciously whenever someone came up to congratulate him or offer kind words. The cotton mouth was a real issue though and he found himself placing another order of a gin and tonic. That’s when he saw another person he didn’t recognise just a bit away from him at the bar. “Shit is packed in here tonight,” Daehyun offered, his fingers drumming nervously atop the polished mahogany. “I’m fuckin’ dyin’.”
