so sm doesn’t even put a picture a memorial doesn’t even mention jonghyun at all doesn’t mention his birthday no video and even cut his parts out of the vcr none nothing just acting like jonghyun didn’t exist and wasn’t apart of their company or shinee for 10+ years…

just so people know: it is true that sm has to get agreement from jonghyun’s family before they release new content that will bring in profit including him. this primarily means unseen merchandise which is why he wasn’t include in those “i cheer for shinee” bracelets or the silicone ones sold through coex. putting this fact aside: a blessing has obviously been given by his family for them to release new albums and dvds that include him. the vcr was also filmed before everything (around the start of last summer and first viewed in july) and they’re not making a direct profit off of it so there’s really no reason for him to have been edited out of it. it’s not all that different from music videos, behind the scenes content, variety shows, etc. that were filmed and shown pre-december 18th. if there was an issue with his image being used at all post-december 18th then sm would have to go around deleting everything he’s ever been in. it’s clear that isn’t the case here so this was obviously sm’s decision.

you can be a fan of shinee and other artists under sm while still criticizing and not liking or trusting the company. the company doesn’t define the artists nor do the (poor) decisions that sm makes regarding how they hand memorializing him. with the exception of what was done in the month after his passing they haven’t really done anything else. removing him from the vcr is cold, and we haven’t even gotten a clear answer on whether or not he’ll ever get a permanent memorial yet. jonghyun was an artist under their roster for over thirteen years - thirteen years that he put his blood, sweat and tears into. he left high school in order to focus fully on becoming a musician / debuting with shinee. he made them big $$$$ literally up until the week before and this is how they repay him? nah man. no one is asking for a massive tribute or party thrown in his memory, just something small to acknowledge that he was here. he isn’t a taboo. the mention of his name and his image shouldn’t be made into one, nor should he be made into something that was solely sad when he gave so much people so much happiness. 

anyway. let’s hope they at least acknowledge his birthday tomorrow.

Well shelter is a basic need, and would at the very least allow them a place where they can get back on their feet. Food water and shelter are necessary for a healthy body and psychology. There’s also the fact that they’re people too, and a little help goes a long way in making a decent community. There’s plenty of reasons
