I’ve been screaming all day. Non stop. I was shaking for the next 4 hours after I heard the news. My twittter page looks like an active war zone. Every single person in my life, both on and offline, messaged me on Twitter, tumblr, Instagram, and discord asking me if I’d heard the news yet. I screamed so much I gave myself a migraine. I’ve been drawing all day. I’m losing my mind. A remaster and a sequel. Oh my fucking god we’re so back

Here’s a little snippet from their comic that kinda explains the baseline of their situation LMAO
There’s a point in the comic where Bailey needs to run by Bigby’s place for work reasons. She’s a very quiet woman and accidentally interrupts Faith talking to Bigby in the doorway; before either of them see her, she shifts into the shadows to give them some privacy because she Doesn’t Know Bigby Like That and wants to save the awkward interaction. She doesn’t see enough of Faith to actually realise who she is/have the “eureka that’s the girl that’s meant to be dead” moment, she just assumes this is his girlfriend/wife. Bailey’s apartment is also on the floor above Bigby’s, and she has pretty enhanced hearing. So against her will she gets relatively solid “confirmation” that they are partners. She also doesn’t know she’s not meant to know that Faith is there.
Luckily she never brings this up in front of anyone before she casually mentions it to Bigby, who immediately freaks out and tells her they need to have a conversation. He essentially invites a very confused Bailey to meet Faith and explains their situation, and Bailey agrees to keep quiet out of general respect for both of them & also because the last thing she’d do is give Snow a reason to be mad.
Part of Bailey’s reservations around Snow are about the similarities she sees between the way Snow acts with Bigby and the way Snow acted with Bailey before she was fired. So when she finds out Bigby has a girlfriend she gets even more prickly with Snow; and while this is definitely out of respect for Bigby, it’s also certainly a tiny bit of jealously that Snow’s got a new favourite coworker/employee. She recognises that the way Snow was/is treating Bigby isn’t healthy, and that the same was true for how Snow treated her, yet, in a weird way, she misses when it was her.
During the scene where Faith is found out, Bailey actually tries to stop Snow from entering Bigby’s apartment and really does try to warn Faith without giving her away but unfortunately her efforts are not enough and she is forced to be a spectator of a very awkward revelation/conversation/argument.
I absolutely love your AU of TWAU, especially the dynamic you’ve created between Bigby and the other characters.
I was wondering, what is your interpretation of Bigby’s relationship with Snow? I know your AU is Faithby focused, not Snowby focused, but I guess I was wondering if you have an idea of anything juicy involving that.
Like, did Bigby eventually fall “out of love” with Snow? Did he eventually realize the dynamic between them was unhealthy? Maybe a specific event revealed that there was an immutable difference between them?
Or maybe your version of Bigby never loved Snow to begin with, idk.

In my head Bigby starts to fall out of love with Snow over time but particularly during the events of TWAU/especially during the scene in his apartment after he’s shot by Bloody Mary where Snow starts to talk about Fabletown in a way that really unnerves him & reveals the way she really feels about his “true form” by calling him a monster. He begins to realise how she really sees him, which starts to push him away
Faith is also living/hiding with him during this time, not as a partner necessarily but as a friend. Faiths kindness towards him makes him realise how poorly snow treats him in comparison, and without realising it he kinda lets his love for her just. Slip away
Snow isn’t a bad person but she does have things she needs to work through. She knows bigby is in love with her, but she refuses to approach the topic because she’s not ready for a relationship. Realistically, she needs to start rejecting Bigby’s advances and tell him outright she’s not interested in him right now, but there’s a tiny part of her that’s so used to the comfort of believing no matter what, Bigby will always be attached at her hip with unconditional devotion for as long as she needs until she thinks she’s ready- and she doesn’t want to give it up.
So she takes notice when suddenly, after the crooked man is put away, it seems like Bigby’s attachment to her is gradually weakening. And she doesn’t like it, even if she really doesn’t want to admit that to herself. She’s especially put off by how strangely happy he seems, comes to work on time, suddenly always well groomed and whistling to himself while he works. She was usually the reason bigby would light up, or smile, or just be happy in general without Snow ever having to do so much as look in his direction, and now she’s starting to feel like she’s just his boss.
Bigby and Faith aren’t immediately dating but over time the way they lived together definitely started to resemble that of a married couple. And as Bigby falls out of love with Snow and starts to realise he’s in love with Faith he gets very nervous. The last thing he wants is to make her feel like she’s trapped in his house with him, pining after her when she doesn’t want it. But Faith recognises her own feelings for him much quicker and begins making advances that he struggles to accept as advances because again, he’s terrified of having a Snow 2.0 situation in his own home.
Faith also talks to him a lot about Snow, and sometimes even points out times when he’s being mistreated without even realising it. She has a lot of sympathy for snow, but she wants bigby to start being his own person because she sees how much it destroys him internally
Eventually they do bridge the gap one night and without saying it aloud decide they’re now a couple, and just continue to live as they were before but now with kissing and Other Stuff™️
When snow does eventually find out about Faith she’s furious. She tries to convince Bigby (and herself) she’s angry because he and Faith have been lying about her whereabouts this whole time, but deep down she’s ashamed because she knows part of her anger is jealousy. And Bigby suspects this too though he never says this directly. Eventually they do have a conversation about it and Snow is able to accept that she needs to move on because she can’t make Bigby wait forever, and she can’t treat him with so much dismissal if she wants to be close friends again

Ok so not to be lewd but any time I picture a sexual dynamic between bigby and another character particularly male ones he is always topping because I just can’t picture him ever being on the receiving end. Just not in his nature I’m afraid so even though I can DEFINITELYYYYYYYYYY see him being SUBMISSIVE towards Faith I lowkey can’t see him genuinely enjoying or wanting to be pegged. Mind you I still think he’d let her tie him up and hit him with a car if she asked and he’d still get turned on
🌙He really likes how cold you are compared to him, and he especially likes that you always have to touch him in some certain way just so you can sap that warmth from him. What's not fun is you coming up behind him and putting your cold ass hands on his back when he's not expecting it.
🌙 He likes how dark your apartment has to be. No windows, lights dim, it's nice and cozy to Bigby and his crappy apartment with neon lights burning holes in his eyes. It's very easy for Bigby to crash on your couch much to your roommates displeasure.
🌙Speaking of your roommates, they are not fans of Bigby. They really turn the vampire vs werewolf drama to a 10 at times, often complaining to you that it smells like wet dog in the apartment when he leaves but neither of you give a shit. It's pretty funny watching Bigby and your roommates get into arguments.
🌙 He will very much offer his wrist or neck for you to feed from. He knows what vampires can be like when they don't feed for awhile, and he knows how sickly you can get especially. If you keep denying him for too long, he won't hesitate to sit you down and pin you until you feed. Bigby is a believer in hard love.
🌙He actually really likes it when you drink from his neck or shoulder. He doesn't know if it's just a vampiric trick you've picked up or if all of you are like this, but when you sink your fangs into him, he loves the euphoric feeling that washes over him. It will have him groaning and gripping onto you the whole time.
🌙On the topic of your fangs, Bigby likes looking at them. You're like him when it comes to not needing an actual glamour, so when your fangs come out Bigby likes to look at them. There are times when he's a little wolfy and you both try to compare each others fangs and see who has the bigger set of chompers.
🌙There's been plenty of times where you find Bigby all bloodied and bruised from getting in a fight and he knows you're fighting the urge to lick the blood off of him, but he honestly doesn't mind. You try to be sneaky with it, though; Kissing the wound, wiping your thumb over a cut and then licking it when you think Bigby isn't paying attention.
🌙He thinks your vampiric form is a wonder to behold. You're not one of the "normal" vampires, but one of older legends. He likes how soft the patches of fur on your body are and how your wings fold with your arms. It's a shame you can't go flying around New York City, though. He knows you get cooped up inside.
🌙He will definitely try to take you up to The Farm or some very secluded patch of woods for you to go about it, though, much to the poor Fable residents displeasure of seeing Bigby and a giant bat monster fucking around.
🌙Bigby loves it when you both can turn and run around in the woods without worrying about other people and Fables. It's not like anyone would believe the poor soul you both traumatize. A werewolf and a big vampiric creature playing around in the woods together?
🌙A lot of your dates happen well past the daytime. Bigby honestly prefers it. Less people out and about, the sun isn't beating down on him, the air feels a little cleaner from less cars running. On top of it, you don't have to wear clothes like a mourning Victorian and go out with your large umbrella like you would if you walked around in the day.
🌙You both really enjoy watching those shitty vampire vs werewolf movies and shows, both of you lounging on a couch and criticizing the media playfully, both of you getting "offended" by how Mundies protray both of your kind.
🌙There was a time that Bigby enetred your apartment when you were asleep in your casket. He debated how comfortable something like that actually was, and he found it to be surprisingly comfy when you offered it up the next time he was around. It made you spring from a double-wide, because there was no way both of you would fit in it together.
🌙Blood donations in Fabletown are sporatic, so when Bigby knows of donations happening soon, he always manages to snag a few bags and will sneak it over to your apartment for you and your roommates to share. It's maybe the one time your roommates tolerate him.
🌙On days where you have to leave the safety of the Woodlands, you have to wear a lot of long layering clothes even if it's well over 100 degrees outside. Sunhat, mask, big sunglasses, gloves and an even bigger umbrella are included with the getup. Bigby doesn't care though, he'll even fish out a coat he stored in the spring and toss it on your shoulders for added protection.
🌙You really don't have much a scent naturally. He always found that odd with vampires, but he really loves it now. It's a break from all of the horrible and overwhelming smells he has to deal with on the job. You often smell like old lace and dried flowers that lost their scent awhile ago, but to him, you smell like heaven.
🌙He's not a fan of the target you have basically painted on your back. It didn't really click in his head until he unearth a large underground drug ring involving all sorts of Fables did he realize that you could be in trouble at all times now because of him. He worries day and night about you, but he knows you aren't a pushover.
🌙You both have a pretty similar past; Both of you neglected by the Homelands, turned into monsters, ...ate a lot of people- But you both have come so far from your pasts. Bigby is honestly really proud of you, even if you don't realize it.
🌙He respects that you really only ever feed when you really need to. He knows what happens to vampires that overly feed, and he knows that you never wanna become what you once were.
🌙He saved up for awhile and surprised you on your anniversary with a gift from the 13th floor; An enchanted amulet that lessens the effects of the sun for you so you don't have to to wear so much protection when going out.

do you know what i hate. that faith had a husband. faith had a husband who, yes, loved her dearly, but passively allowed his wife to prostitute herself, get beaten regularly, and be under the thumb of a criminal, trapped within a debt system she would've never been able to escape without help. and was he helping? no. admittedly, he was so terribly depressed that he was suicidal, and i think we are all sympathetic to that and understand why... but bigby, in comparison?
bigby is depressed, terribly so. bigby has been depressed for centuries and fights, every damn day, for a better fabletown. he has no idea how to achieve it, what he ought to do for the best, but he keeps at it. he (literally) gets beaten down on the regular and yet my guy keeps on fighting.
and i think THAT is what ignites something between faith and bigby. he is fighting for her, and he continues to fight for her, even after her 'death'. he goes up against someone who is one of the few fables capable of doing him real damage, for a woman he doesn't know. and what's interesting, is this is canon - it doesn't matter whether you play bigby as 'good' or 'bad', he will always enter that room, and pin woody up against the wall. he will always fight for her. and that's something her marriage lacked. even her own parents didn't fight for her, and became people she had to escape.
i think that's why she tells him "you're not as bad as everyone says you are," because most of fabletown see bigby fighting and view it as violence or a lack of control, but faith sees something else entirely. she sees that she is being fought for, for what is probably the first time in her life.
