hello there! My name Octavia Matthews, and I work at Hatchetfield High (and technically Starbucks. You have to make a living somehow)

I was born and raised here in Hatchetfield, and I’m a (not so proud) graduate of Sycamore High, along with my cousin Paul. I don’t see him much these days though…I think he works at CCRP now?

I really enjoy music of all kinds, and I make it a goal to never miss a musical at the starlight theatre.

sorry, I teach choir-not math. I’m afraid I won’t be much help with anything other than the artsy things. Or English…I actually enjoyed that class when I was in school.

so one of my students asked me today if my eyes have always been blue… I’ll admit, it confused me slightly. I’ve always had one blue eye, but never two. How strange!

in the same sort of thing someone in one of my classes told me i was acting like i was staring at them. i dont know what they meant by that. how can someone without eyes stare?

hii ms matthews ive been thinking about joining the theatre club since ive heard auditions are soon and all that but im concerned i won't have time because of how much work you have to do to be in a play liek rehearsals and stuff :\

yeah, that’s tough. You could talk to the director and let them know about your conflicts, that way you get cast in a smaller role and aren’t required at every rehearsal. I’ve had a number of students do that and they’re typically able to get something worked out!
