Fashion Designer Kate Spade Found Dead In Apparent Suicide

Police say the designer who built a billion-dollar brand of luxury handbags and accessories was found dead in her Park Avenue apartment in Manhattan on Tuesday. She was 55.

“Our thoughts are with her family at this incredibly heartbreaking time,” read a message on the Kate Spade company website. “We honor all the beauty she brought into this world.”
