as a tween I saw a tumblr post (from pinterest ofc) with a reblog that said like “I’m sitting at my opera rehearsal trying not to burst out laughing at this” and I thought it was so odd that the same demographic of people performing in opera would be active on tumblr. Well now I am the person shamelessly opening tumblr at my opera rehearsals and I 100% understand

I think the reason woodcut style tattoos speak to me is because they don’t pretend they are being done on a smooth, perfect surface. Just like a wood surface, my skin is not perfect and will age and become more weathered and worn. That being said, I have 0 tattoos still, and—

to my own horror i cannot stop imagining a production that alternates between "twelfth night" and "hamlet" every night (think of that one production of "rosencrantz and gildenstern are dead" that alternated with "hamlet"), where ophelia and laertes are played by the same actors as viola and sebastian. like imagine this staged as a time loop situation, but with two VERY different outcomes. i'm sick. think of the deafening silence after sebastian says "She is drowned already, sir, with salt water, though I seem to drown her remembrance again with more." I'M SICK!
