Couldn't have asked for a better end to my life in New York before going back to California tomorrow for hip surgery. The ballerina I admire beyond belief. @mistyonpointe Thank you for sharing your story, dancing, and kindness! Sorry I was so flustered and awestruck. #rolemodel #idol
Sunday's are my favorite day of the week and I'm already counting down the days until the next one. #happy #newyorklife
Happy national dance day! #throwback @rontanphotography #cinderella
Got to see the Bolshoi perform my favorite ballet today and it was remarkable
I just witnessed one of the most spectacular performances. Polina Semionova and Marcelo Gomes. Swan Lake. ABT. #100happydays
Today I chopped off and donated 13 inches of my hair! Been waiting years to do this! #100happydays #day40? And my shirt has ballerinas on it 💇
A couple of things: ballet related
I met Polina Semionova a few days ago and she was so nice and sweet and asked me questions :)
I just got a ticket to see her dance Swan Lake with David Hallberg in a few weeks! :O
I have tickets to see Natalia Osipova perform 3 times in November!!!!!!
Misty Copeland has to be one of the most admirable human beings on the planet. I have so much respect for her and can't wait to keep watching her grow as a dancer. She is fierce and strong, kind and humble, and such a role model for dancers everywhere. I'm currently reading her memoir. Her journey into ballet is remarkable and inspiring.

Do not ask your children to strive for extraordinary lives. Such striving may seem admirable, but it is the way of foolishness. Help them instead to find the wonder and the marvel of an ordinary life. Show them the joy of tasting tomatoes, apples and pears. Show them how to cry when pets and people die. Show them the infinite pleasure in the touch of a hand. And make the ordinary come alive for them. The extraordinary will take care of itself.

This made me teary-eyed. Living an ordinary life is wonderful!
This is the message in my favorite Broadway musical, Pippin. Since first watching the show a month or so ago, I have been enthralled with the idea of enjoying the "simple joys" in life, letting go of that desire to be part of "the one perfect act", and living a life that is "extra ordinary."

Just because someone’s parents are together, someone has a nice house, has nice clothes, isn’t poor, eats every day and has a loving family doesn’t mean they can’t be depressed, have anxiety, an eating disorder, self harm issues, or any other problem.
The world NEEDS to know this
So tempted to buy a stub hub ticket for Governor's Ball today so I can see Vampire Weekend.
But I don't have a lot of money,
And I feel like $100+ would be better spent on classes or something

I saw them :)
The key question to keep asking is, are you spending your time on the right things? Because time is all you have.
