SEND đ„ FOR MY MUSE TO COMFORT YOURS AFTER A NIGHTMARE | NOT ACCEPTING
âThere had better be a fire for you to be waking me up at this time,â she mumbled, yawning as she turned to face Hope who had made her way into her sheets. âDonât y-â The sound of tears stopped her from making another comment, and suddenly Hayley was completely awake and alert. âWhat? What is it, what happened?â Her instinct was to comfort her, to pull her in and take all of the sadness away like she would have when Hope would crawl into her bed after a nightmare as a child, but she was grown now and didnât much appreciate Hayley babying her, so she kept a little distance between them.Â
Hope had not climbed into her motherâs bed for a long time. She was fourteen after all but she still knew of no better place than her motherâs arms for comfort. She climbed between the sheets before her mother even woke, feeling her shift and wiping her eyes. She flinched at the harsh reprimand before the soft questions, curling up against her mother with a quiet sob. âNothing.â She whispered after a little while. âI just had a nightmare.â She admitted.Â
