My brother in law recently became a veterinarian and it has really driven the point home as to how fucking bonkers veterinary medicine is. We don't expect human physicians to really know much outside of their own specialty - a dentist, an otolaryngologist, and a maxillofacial surgeon are three totally different dudes. Meanwhile a veterinarian at a wildlife rehab center is doing orthopedic surgery on a hawk and then doing rounds on baby hedgehogs in the hedgehog NICU and administering antibiotics to a ratsnake. And he also knows how to perform surgical interventions on a cow! What the fuck! Those are all totally, wildly different kinds of animal!!

Shout out to veterinarians, they know Too Much.

Have you ever heard of green lacewings? I've seen some at work because they're pest control and they're so freaking cute.

YES!!!!! I love green lacewings. Their nymphs are some of the coolest bugs out there, I think! They cover themselves in lichen as camouflage!!

I didn’t know what the nymphs looked like before I saw that one in the video. It caught my eye and I was like .,?,….,,.?? walking lichen?????????? So I took that video and tumblr wont let me add the second video but I also got it to crawl on a leaf for me to inspect. Super cool. And then when I got home I was googling stuff like “tiny walking lichen” until I figured out it was probably a green lacewing nymph!!

The Cherished are the rival hero team to the Beloveds, led by Delight (an ex member of the Beloveds). There is high tension anytime they are on the same scene as the Beloveds and the press and fans eat up every juicy bit of drama.

It's heavily debated which team is the better one, though it's easy to say Cherished are a lot more clean about their jobs.

Cherished are kinda like the popular girls in high school but instead of a school, it's a city while the Beloveds are the lowkey the weird kids.
