I don't post much on here anymore, but this is important.

Because of Executive Orders issued by the current administration, federal funding for museums has been impacted and museums and park sites under the Executive branch (including Department of Defense and National Park Service) are being forced to remove information highlighting the accomplishments from women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ people from their websites and exhibits.

There are countless databases and resources that researchers, students, and average users utilize every day. I for one, am deeply dependent on Founders Online with my own work, a resource which is overseen by the National Archives, an institution currently in a state of turmoil.

There is no precedent for the amount of censorship we are facing within this administration. I know I have absolutely taken for granted the ease and accessibility of many of these resources and am truly frightened by the idea of them going away or limited access.

If you use any resources that have been or may be impacted by this censorship, the OAH (Organization of American Historians) WANTS TO HEAR FROM YOU. If you have used, plan to use, or enjoy any of these databases/resources/webpages from the comfort of your home and want them to stay, LET THEM KNOW.

We are not powerless in this fight, but we must remain vigilant.
