There must be another version of that escene, maybe this one was for the gag reel, but do you remember when Anna talked about pitch perfect in comic con? she said that there was a "bechloe moment" filmed, and she didn't know if that was going to be put on the final version, and that maybe means that we have a more "cinematic" version of the kiss, and that can be backed up with Rebel and Shelley versión of how that scene was filmed, so maybe another kiss exist in the vaults of Universal.
I do think there’s another “version” of the scene, but only as far as it would be more high definition. But still the same scene.
I think the moments that appear after the credits or during the credits are quite frankly not meant to be taken too seriously. So even the Chicago/Chloe kiss was just an outtake. I do think Kendrick genuinely tried to get the kiss filmed—and it seems like it was to some degree—but they didn’t include the kiss in the outtakes for whatever reason. I don’t think she “tricked” them into filming it like some others are saying, at least not so insidiously (reasoning below).
I understand why people think there’s another kiss, but this lowkey fits the bill. I think when Rebel initially said nobody else was around for the kiss, I think she meant all the other Bellas. And also keep in mind that a lot of PP3 was improv’d which means that this was Kendrick, on a whim, following the likely-simple direction of “how would Beca react to Chloe and Chicago kissing” and this was probs the second take after the take we saw in the movie. So Kendrick did what she thought Beca would do per her headcanons about Beca and Chloe. That was, I believe, Kendrick putting in her best faith efforts to act as Beca and Snow responded as Chloe accordingly.
Because Kendrick and Snow both ship Bechloe to some degree, it was rather natural for them. Guy Burnet and Matt Lanter are new to the series and probably do not care that much about Bechloe. Kendrick also probably didn’t tell them she was going to do that (though I do believe she and Snow have talked about it before), hence why “Theo” was so caught off guard and hence why he somehow thought kissing “Chicago” was the right reaction to take in this improv’d scene.
