How to feel magical every damn day.
Here’s a few ways to make every single day a witchy day.
Go for a walk where you will be surrounded by nature (whether it be the local park or forest or beach) and smell some flowers or collect some dirt/shells.
Press some flowers to decorate your journal (or book of shadows).
Light a candle.
Light a bunch of candles.
Make some natural toothpaste or deodorant to replace your regular one, feel a difference?
Sunbathe.
Moonbathe.
Put your green thumb to good use and start an herb garden in your kitchen or garden.
Harvest from your plant babies and dry/store them for using in your magic (make sure you give thanks and give them an offering in return.)
Cleanse the space with some incense or just by sweeping.
Take a bath with some herbs, petals and bath salts. Soak in all the scents and charge yourself.
Make yourself some really good tea and practice your tasseomancy.
Give your fur baby some love and do a spell for them or enchant something of theirs.
Put sachets of fragrant herbs all over the house.
Weave some magic into to your knitting or cross-stitching. Make bracelets enchanted with glamours or scarves with protective sigils woven into them for your friends or for yourself.
Volunteer at your local dog/homeless shelter and maybe add some magic into their lives. Enchant some dog collars or give out some good luck in soup form.
Bless your old clothes before you give them to charity.
Maintain a journal for everyday magic and challenge yourself to do one magical thing every day.
Read lots of fiction and get creative with your magic by letting them inspire you.
Do some magic for yourself. Whether it be enchanting you favourite lipstick or necklace, to give you a little bit of a boost throughout the day.
My Daily Witchy Routine ✨📓🧘🏻♀️🌜
So during Quarantine I’ve found it rather hard to keep motivated, like doing chores, my work and even my spirituality/craft.
I’ve decided to change how I’m doing things, and have come up with a daily routine, which may help some of you and I’d like to share it ☺️✨
1. Write a list of things you need to do in the day 📝
✍🏻Writing a list of the things you need to do daily really helps me keep on top of things, I enjoy ticking them off after completing them as there is a feeling of accomplishment when you finish a task.
2. Wake up at reasonable time and actually get dressed ⏰ 👚
Waking up late sometimes is needed, but right now getting up late is becoming a bad habit, I’ve started getting up around 9am and I get dressed in the clothes I would usually go about my day in. Just wearing comfy/bed clothes is great but not all the time, I felt demotivated and felt like I wanted to go back to sleep 😴 so make sure to get dressed.
3. Do something relaxing 😌
Relax, it was something that I was NOT doing, but I realise now that stressing at a time like this is not a good thing to be doing, and yes I know that sometimes you can’t help it but try and fill your day with relaxing but rewarding activities such as -
Yoga 🧘🏼♂️
Meditation 🧘🏻♀️
Playing a game 🎮
Listening to your favourite music 🎶
Watching a film 🍿
Going for a walk (government approved of course!!)
Having a bath 🛀
Reading 📖
Writing ✍🏻
Arts and crafts 🖼
4. Remember to eat at the right times!! 🥗🍜🍝🥘
Try and eat 3 meals a day, I know the concept of time is hard right now but eat breakfast, lunch and dinner as usual, I would skip meals, and feel awful for it afterwards, so stay as healthy as you can 🥞🥪
5. Stay hydrated!!
Drink water !!! H20!!💧stay hydrated by drinking at least a few glasses of water a day, some tea and whatever else you may fancy. I’ve started drinking more water and I find it has helped me feel more refreshed and awake, coffee is great but don’t over do it ☕️💧
6. Do a daily tarot card reading
Pulling just a daily card, every morning is a great way to connect with your decks and to continue learning about tarot. Also seeing what the outlook of your day will be is useful to know✨🔮
7. Clean and cleanse your space ✨
Remember to keep your environment as clean and de-cluttered as possible, and also cleansing your space with incense, sage, rosemary, or a cleansing spray. A clean environment really does help you get motivated. 🧹 🧼
8. Don’t be hard on yourself ☺️
Don’t beat yourself up over how you are feeling or how you choose to cope during this strange time, it’s okay to feel sad or demotivated sometimes, but you should never be hard on yourself for your emotions - we are all human, it’s okay ❤️😌
I hope this helps in some way, stay strong everyone❤️☺️✨
🌙✨ Low-Energy Every-Day Magic for the Lazy Witch ✨🌙
Get a crystal keychain to carry around with your house keys
Hang a tiger’s eye from your rear view mirror
Light a candle and set an intention (even if that intention is just to get through the day, or to be thankful, or to get something done, or to relax)
Tidy up a room
Go for a walk
Make a cup of tea or coffee and stir an intention into it (clockwise to summon something, counterclockwise to banish it)
Put out an offering for the fae (honey, nuts, and berries is a favorite of mine)
Open a window
Do a one- or three-card personal tarot spread
Take a bath (it’s really easy to light some candles and include a spell bomb or bath salts and make it a spell or ritual bath!)
Hang wind chimes outside your home
Meditate
Water your plants
Research a new herb or crystal
Hold your hands under cold running water, close your eyes, and connect with the water for a moment (it’s also easy to do this outside in the dirt for earth, or to put your hand outside your car window for air)
Love on your pets
Listen to music that makes you feel witchy (Stevie Nicks is a favorite of mine)
Apple Feeders for Winter Birds
Easy crafts for Yule
This is my first Yule as a practicing witch and I’ve made a few crafts that I’d like to share that probably anyone can do.
First up: apple feeders for birds.
You’ll need:
Apples
Birdseed (I used a cardinal blend because I like cardinals)
Peanut butter - make sure you only use natural peanut butter, without a lot of salt and sugar, and no xylitol which is toxic to a lot of animals.
Twine
A wooden skewer
A knife
Scissors
A spoon or a melon baller
1. Cut the apple in half. Use the skewer to pierce a channel through the top of one of the halves. Then cut a short length of twine and use the skewer again to thread the twine through the channel. Tie the ends to make a loop so your apple feeders can hang.
2. Use the spoon or melon baller to scoop out the middle of the apple half. I like using a melon baller because it slices the apple easier and it’s easier to control the scoop depth. I snack on the insides while I’m working so nothing is wasted.
3. Spread a little peanut butter in the hollowed apple half and sprinkle in some seeds. Don’t go too crazy at this step because you’ll add more later.
4. Add more peanut butter over the top of the seeds and spread until it reaches the edges of the apple half. Then press more seeds into the peanut butter to coat it completely.
5. Hang your feeder(s) from trees around your yard. Make sure to hang them a safe distance from the ground to prevent stray cats from hunting the birds while they’re distracted.
Easy peasy!
As an agnostic modern witch, sometimes very old holiday traditions are hard to follow. I don’t have a patron deity or anything but I do still celebrate Christmas. So I put together a modern 12 day holiday guide so I can still celebrate the 12 days of Yule without having to try to cram everything in around my and my family’s work schedule. Now there are tons of ways to celebrate and tons of different traditions out there, so you can adapt this guide however you want.
Orpheus Leading Eurydice from the Underworld (details) by Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot
I KNOW a few of yall empaths out there could use this right now!!
Witches Morning Routine
Ideas for a cozy witchy morning! Perfect for secretive witches ✨
Open your windows/curtains and say goodmorning to the sun or admire it and the earth
Write down any dreams you had if you wish to interpret them
Hold any of your crystals, tarot cards, etc to make them feel loved and to get any wonderful energy
If you have a safe space you may pull a tarot card or meditate
Close your eyes in front of a bookshelf, grab a book and open to a random page. Without looking, slide your finger to any spot on the page and read the sentence. Ponder the sentence and apply it to yourself (simple method of divination)
Read your horoscope for the day (there is plenty of apps and websites)
Water any plants or feed any animals in the house and give them some love
Go for a walk if time allows, clear your mind and breathe in fresh, clean energy to uplift you
Light a candle, using any colour/scent that will suit your day
If you drink coffee, add a dash of cinnamon to it or the grinds
If you drink tea, stir it clockwise to promote or counter clockwise to banish
Make breakfast and add special spices to it for certain things
Worship/leave an offering to a deity or perhaps earth itself
If you wear makeup, draw sigils with the foundation or wear a certain colour of lipstick/eyeshadow for its properties
Remind yourself that you are beautiful, and a badass witch ❤️

How Magic Works
These are just some of many different theories about how spells work. For anybody who really enjoys “magical theory” like I do or is looking for validation that there’s something to all these weird spells! None of these serve to discredit magic, but rather add a deeper level of understanding to it. The success of a spell could be credited to more than one of these, or something else entirely!
Law of Attraction. Basically, the idea that you attract what you focus on. A popular example is focusing on the color red, and seeing how much red is around you that you didn’t notice before. This is most effective for spells involving personal matters and success, by formally opening your eyes to details and opportunities you may have missed otherwise.
The Placebo Effect. It’s a proven fact that our bodies can heal ourselves merely by belief that what we’re doing helps! This can extend beyond health spells to things like confidence, performance ability, and other things that aim at personal improvement. The placebo effect may be all that spell needs to be successful ( and it wouldn’t have happened without the spell!)
Direct cause/effect. Something about the spell and the way it was cast directly affects the outcome. Example: a sigil designed for protection, when looked at, serves as a constant visual reminder that you are protected, subconsciously strengthening your wards.
Science/chemistry. This is most true for kitchen witchery and herbalism. Chamomile, lavender, and other herbs aren’t corresponded with calmness and sleep for nothing… they’re made up of chemicals that have been scientifically proven to calm the nerves and aid in sleep!
Quantum physics. There’s a phrase called “Quantum Woo,” where people use quantum physics (often incorrectly) to explain any type of magical thinking or practice. While the ultimate theory behind quantum physics was recently disproven, the discoveries made through research still hold true. Basically, we know particles behave differently when observed, and our energies can effect this. We just don’t know why that is. This is the baseline behind a lot of energy work.
Divine string pulling. Ask and ye shall receive. This is where we depart from the physical to the spiritual side of magic. Many people do magic by appealing to divine forces, Mother Earth, God(s), the Universe, whatever you want to call it. This could be with an offering, a ceremony, or even just bedside prayer. The divine force hears the request, and grants it by affecting change and “pulling strings” to cause the desired outcome.
Spiritual string pulling. Very similar to the previous point, but with entities that are not worshipped or seen as divine. Many believe that spirits can still affect change “behind the scenes.” A spirit worker may make a deal with a spirit for luck or protection, or someone may ask their ancestors for good fortune and health.
Personal string pulling. Instead of asking an outside entity, this is the idea that we, as the practitioner, pull the strings. This is most seen through the “cone of energy” method of casting, where we raise a lot of concentrated energy and intent in a space, then release it all at once to do its thing. You also see it with sympathetic magic, where by doing something to a poppet, we actively affect that change on the target. No middle man included.
💌Spell Envelopes💌
Y’all this is seriously a game changer!!
As a college student, I’m super broke and haven’t wanted to buy sachets for spells, but I have a solution! Just use an envelope instead! You can get a whole box for like $3 (or you probs already have some) and they work just like a sachet: you put your herbs, pieces of paper, little crystals, etc. inside.
You can also decorate them with designs, colors, and sigils that correspond to the spell you’re doing! The one in this picture is a love spell I made for a friend! Art isn’t your thing? Just use stickers! Washi tape!
You can carry them around easily and discreetly too. You could even mail a spell to a friend! And add a layer of enchantment to bless your postal delivery person while they’re carrying the spell :)
✨✨
Addition: As the lovely @crystal-w0lf added to the comments, you can also bury them for offerings or protection spells!!!

Things I did to improve my worship:
(note this is not some guide, I'm not saying all or any of these will work for you, I'm just sharing some things I did to better improve my relationship with my deities in the context of my worship, and my understanding of my faith)
Less worrying what's on an altar, more time at my altar
Less trying to do what others are doing, more recording what I'm doing
Less talking about my worship, more prayer
Less worrying about specific and special offerings, more offerings of what I have available
Less looking for signs, more divination
More research not limited to my own faith
Less "go big or go home", more small gestures
how to make a witches web 🕸
ok so first off your going to need a few things
-glue
-string
-sticks
-crystal chips (optional, but highly suggested)
1st step: make a circle out of sticks
step 2: dress it up and glue it together
step 3: for those long strings that come down i made some that are just crystals with strings like this
or i would add sticks to it like this
basically all i did for those was i got some string, tied a knot at the bottom, and glued it on to the crystal chips
step 4: design the circle of sticks any way you like
and i added a tigers eye in the middle
step 5: put it all together!
and then your done! have fun my little witches
