My mom got me in the habit of looking up the meaning of my dreams.  It wasn’t until my senior year of high school that I learned how dreams were caused.  Freud gave meaning behind peoples dreams. so if you dream about fishes it doesn’t mean that you’ll become rich or if you dream about dirty water won’t get sick, your brain is just super active.

Back in the days, Freud stated that a boy/man will look for a woman or girl that resembled his mom.  There was also a theory he put out that a boy/man has the unconscious desire to mate with his own mother that it was possible for him to kill his father to get what he wanted.  The same a girl/woman would do to her mom to be able to be with her father.

We’ve already began to put ourself in the minds if others, first we did it with reader response, then with new criticism and now we’re doing it with narratives. Many of probably started way before stepping foot into this class.
