Sometimes I have to remind myself
That the Eiffel Tower is made out of nothing
But steel.
You are made up of so much more,
Blood, bones and eyes
That I can only look at when I miss home.
And your hands on my skin
Make me wonder
If this is what it feels like
To be saved by somebody’s god.
I don’t even remember
What it’s like waking up
Without knowing of your existence.
Does it make me weak
If I say it’s impossible to love you
Any less than I could ever love myself?
Just show me that you’re capable
Of staying
And I will never leave this city.
