Ruined was awesome guys! I gave it 5 stars and I highly recommend it :D
Ruined had so many of my favorite things: a hate to love romance, magic, castles, princes/princesses, and great action scenes. The romance between Em and Cas was really cute and the plot moved along at a good pace. I canāt wait for the next book in this trilogy!Ā
I recently finished Warrior Witch, the final book in the Malediction Trilogy. Overall, Iām satisfied with this series. The final book had some good twists that I didnāt see coming and an unexpected ending. However, my favorite book in this series will always be Stolen Songbird, one of my overall favorite books :)

I did make a few custom style changes to hide the heading, borders, and . goodreads button. Other than that though, that code will auto update to your goodreads currently reading shelf :)
Hi there! Just wondering if you had a list of books that are modern retellings of Greek mythology (specifically, Hades/Persephone, or others) or just retellings, they don't have to be modern. Thank you so much! (You do excellent work with this blog)
Hi! The Hades/Persephone retellings are great and Iāve read 2 of them. The 2 that Iāve read are My Ex From Hell and The Goddess Test. The Goddess Test was just an ok book for me. Kind of boring. My Ex From Hell though was really funny and a great series overall. I also have Abandon by Meg Cabot on my TBR shelf and look forward to reading that :)
I used to have Everneath on my TBR but it has a love triangle and when the last book came out in the trilogy, there were a lot of negative reviews for that book. I read some spoilers and decided the series was definitely not for me. I believeĀ The Shadow Prince is loosely based on the Hades/Persephone story but that book got mixed reviews and some pretty negative ones from bloggers I follow, so I took it off my TBR as well. Might be worth revisiting though because the synopsis still sounds interesting to me. The Persephone book I hadnāt heard of before, just found it when I was collecting these book covers :)
Some other Greek mythology books I know about are of Medusa. Thereās Sweet Venom which is a trilogy of three teenage descendants of Medusa. There is also Ā The Deep End of the Sea which is a romance story of Medusa.
And to finish up this rec, here are some other miscellaneous Greek mythology YA books: Nobodyās Princess, Half-Blood, Oh. My. Gods, and Starcrossed.

I just finished The Rose & The Dagger and WOW! What a sequel :D 5 stars!
I was a little worried at first because the beginning was a little slow and hard for me to get into. Once I got past that though, this book was amazing! I donāt ever cry when reading books, but I almost did in one scene with Irsa. An emotionally awesome book that I highly recommend.Ā
The Wrath and the Dawn (first book) was awesome too and you should definitely drop everything youāre doing and read that now :)
I really enjoyed the ending to this trilogy! The Winner's Kiss was probably a 4.5 star read for me. The Winner's Curse remains my favorite book in this series. I liked The Winner's Kiss, it just dragged a little sometimes. Perfect ending to the series though :) I highly recommend The Winner's Curse Trilogy!

Our last day we visited theĀ Cliffs of Moher which were so beautiful. You definitely donāt want to miss those views if you visit Ireland.Ā
Tomorrow Iāll finally be closing on the condo and probably moving in next week or the week after that. Depends on how much I want to update before moving in.Ā

Finishing up day 4 in my Ireland vacation today! We have been really lucky with the weather. Little to no rain and a lot of sunny skies. We have gone hiking quite a bit and have seen beautiful views! We also went to Blarney castle which was really cool and saw a sheep farmer demonstration today. Sheep are so cute :) I would definitely recommend going through a tour company if you are going to Ireland. It is really hard to navigate on your own. Lots of curvy narrow roads :P Overall a great vacation so far with zero complaints!

Wellā¦. BIG NEWS! IāM MOVING OUT!! After searching around for a while, I finally found a condo that I loved and they accepted my offer! :DĀ
I finished college a little over a year ago and thought it was just time for me to move out of my parentās house. Plus, my new place will cut my drive to work in half :) It has been CRAZY these past few weeks. Way too much stress/excitement in my life with all of the planning, getting insurance, getting a loan, getting approved by the association, the list seems to go on and on with what I need to get ready.Ā
Iām still really excited to move in though. Iāve been scrolling through Pinterest like crazy, planning the furniture I want to buy and then stalking Craigslist once I realize that new furniture is WAY too expensive :P I did go to IKEA though with my mom to buy quite a few things. They have pretty good prices! Plus I got my first succulent plant :D I Googled how to take care of it, but it will probably die within a week or 2. I donāt know how to care for plants D: Any advice on that?Ā
I also got the book shown above, How to Boil Water. I really donāt know how to cook much of anything. I mostly eat Kraft Mac and Cheese all the time (so I do know how to boil water ;)) I really like this book so far though and would definitely recommend it to people who donāt really know how to cook. So many cooking books arenāt very specific and donāt have pictures, so I loved that this book had a ton of pictures of the food and how to make it! Plus there are extra sections, like the page shown above, where they teach you cooking terms and sort of the basics of cooking :)
Well that was sort of long winded, but thereās just a lot going on right now for me as you can probably see. Iāll be moving in probably in the first week of May. Also! I will be going to Ireland next week for vacation (we leave on Friday). Iāll be there for a week on a tour bus and Iām so excited for it! Iāll definitely post some pictures here for you guys! Hopefully after I move-in in May, my life will settle down more and I can catch up on my reading :)
I read a lot of books this month! *pats self on back* Really though, I had a great month of reading. Standing out as the best are The Winnerās Curse and The Wrath & The Dawn. Both were awesome 5 star reads! GO READ THEM o_o The other books were all 4 star reads for me, except Truthwitch that got 3 stars.

I finished The Winnerās Curse yesterday and completely loved it!! 5 Stars all around. Now Iām about 1/3 of the way through The Winnerās Crime and definitely still loving this series :D

The day after you finish a book with a cliffhanger...
I grew up watching Between the Lions. Within Between the Lions, there is a short segment called Cliff Hanger. It was actually my favorite part of the show.
Each episode presents Cliff with a preposterous situation of some kind, which he attempts to use to his advantage by reaching into his backpack, pulling out what he calls his ātrusty survival manualā, and following the instructions provided there. The instructions, though often highly unorthodox, usually prove successful, and Cliff briefly escapes from the cliff. But, inevitably, another highly unlikely incident occurs that leaves Cliff back where he started, hanging onto his branch once again. Ā -Wikipedia
Sound familiar? As readers I think we can sympathize with Cliff. It seems as though we briefly escape from the cliff hanger by finally getting our hands on the next book in the series. But, inevitably it would seem, another cliffhanger comes along and we are left hanging once again.Ā
How do you feel after you read a book with a cliffhanger? Does a year wait bother you? Are you more hesitant to read books by an author if theyāre known for cliffhangers?
It's so satisfying to have an epilogue like this and stories that fill in the gaps of this series. Why canāt all series have a book like this?
I really enjoyed reading about when Cinder first woke up after the surgery, Kai's POV, and of course, the wedding at the end! :D I didn't really care much for the other stories though. I really skimmed through most of those. I mean, I love all of these characters, but some of those short stories weren't very interesting to me. Still, the very last story makes the entire book worth it!
