Intuition is the key to everything, in painting, filmmaking, business - everything. I think you could have an intellectual ability, but if you can sharpen your intuition, which they say is emotion and intellect joining together, then a knowingness occurs.
David Lynch (via ryantippery)
“If I ran my set with fear, I would get 1 percent, not 100 percent, of what I get. And there would be no fun in going down the road together. And it should be fun. In work and in life, we’re all supposed to get along. We’re supposed to have so much fun, like puppy dogs with our tails wagging. It’s supposed to be great living; it’s supposed to be fantastic”. - David Lynch

“Country singer Willie Nelson shares a joint with actor John Belushi as he pinkie swears with a Hells Angel at the Lone Star Cafe. New York City, circa 1980.”
Selflessness. It should be the basis of every relationship. If a person truly cares about you, they’ll get more pleasure from the way they make you feel, rather than the way you make them feel.
Colleen Hoover, Confess (via thelovejournals)
Each person is an enigma. You’re a puzzle not only to yourself but also to everyone else, and the great mystery of our time is how we penetrate this puzzle.
Theodore Zeldin (via wordsnquotes)
How's your life been, love?
It’s been different and great in the changes that are here. Thank you for asking! I’m moving in with my fiancé into our first home together, moved out of state and out of my parents house for the first time. I’m also starting my first job as a public school teacher and beginning to be financially independent for the first time ever. Big, big things that are both very nerve-wracking and absolutely amazing and beautiful all at once. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, but as a whole, it is so good. Sometimes life’s masterplan is better than a plan you thought would be.
I still like to browse Tumblr when I can. I don’t post as often, but you’ll still see me here and there. ❤️
Thank you for caring enough and please know that I care about you too.
Don’t wait for it. Create a world, your world. Alone. Stand alone. Create. And then the love will come to you, then it comes to you.
Anaïs Nin (via girlinlondon)
Not shaving and not wearing make up are literally nonbehaviors. They’re a complete lack of action. But doing nothing is considered masculine because men are the only ones who are allowed to just be.
“But your solitude will be a support and a home for you, even in the midst of very unfamiliar circumstances, and from it you will find all your paths.” ― Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet
“It is supposed that a writer writes what he knows about and knows well. It is not necessarily so. A writer’s subject may just as well, if not more likely, be what the writer longs for and dreams about, in an unquenchable dream, in lush detail and harsh honesty.” -Mary Oliver, from Upstream
I do not need to get used to your silence. I already know it. I quite possibly love all of it.
Ernest Hemingway (via thelovejournals)
