BREACH: The Archangel Job

Breach: The Archangel Job is the first out of 3 stories told within the same universe of the Breach Series. The first game, The Archangel Job, tells the story of how you, the fresh new member of The Archangels would fight your way up the criminal food chain, against the infamous Chicago Outfit, a criminal organization in control of nearly every single political and authority organization in the city of Chicago.

You are the master of your fate… But even so, you are at the mercy of chance. This game uses a system of luck and dices. If you wish to control the game, turn off the randomization in the settings at the start of the game.

Your experience will solely depend on your luck, real life luck. Your skills will help the odds, but you are still at the mercy of the randomized number generator script.

You can play as 3 different character alignment: 

Criminal

Vigilante

Detective (undercover)

With 4 different starting roles: 

Getaway Driver

Crowd Control

Weapon Expert

Engineer

From there, you will be at the mercy of the world. You will have vast control of your character, vast customization of everything from clothing to weaponry, gender, name, body style, skill sets, and many more.

Breach: Chicago War Zone is the 2nd out of 3 stories told within the same universe of the Breach series. While the first game introduced to you and explored the underworld of New York and Chicago, The Archangel Crew, The Outfit, and everything in between, it leaves you with either the FBI, or the Archangels by your side.

The sequel picks up where you left off, exploring the aftermath of what was just the start of a war between The Archangels and The Outfit, with innocent civilians and small gangs caught in between, The FBI chasing after both, the Cartels looming over the war zone, and VAMcorp watching from the sidelines.

How your story here starts depends on how it ended previously. 

-The Archangel Ending- As an Archangel, you are a Raphael, a team leader under the command of the trio; Michael, Gabriel, and Raquel. With your handpicked crew of three, and the help of your long time friend Mouse, you have with you the means to take down The Outfit, leaving the fate of Chicago in your hands, to seize it, leave it be, or let someone else take control.

-The FBI Ending- As an FBI, you are the valuable key in taking down The Archangels, having worked alongside them and getting to know them, the bureau has asked your help in hunting down your former friends and allies. You will meet new friends and allies along the way, people willing to help, some for a price, some with a personal grudge, and some may just be willing to see reason.

Regardless, your path has been laid, but nothing is set in stone, anything can happen, anything can be. The choices is yours, as is it’s consequence.

Whenever I read them my body just goes "AH YES, THE GOOD DOPAMINE". You write the good stuff my dude!!!

"Good. Neither you nor Kaidan knows, and we like to keep it that way. All you need to know is that you're working for me. The only difference is that if you decide to leave..." His electronically distorted voice unsettles you as his posture seemingly gets larger as he towers over you.

"We'll have to kill you and your little friend there, tie your bodies to the back of a train, and let it drag you all the way back to New York. Understood?" Though his face is behind the mask, you can feel him breathing down on you.

It doesn't matter who you are or how big your body is. Right now, you feel as if he's overshadowing you with his presence.

INTERACTIVE FICTION RECCOMENDATION:

Join The Archangels on their bloody campaign against the Chicago Mafia, to take them down by any means necessary. Play as criminal vigilante alongside them, or play as an informant and secretly work against them. Roll the dice, and survive the deadly consequences of your actions.

This IF messed me up in the best ways possible. The storyline, the action, the characters and THE DRAMA? Just amazing!

The replay value is insanely good! I've been playing it non-stop since March and still I'm finding details throughout the story. No playthrough is the same thanks to the Dice System which makes everything that much better. Lady Luck? I don't know her, I only know the horrid and hilarious consequences of my actions. Did my Raphael die on my first playthrough? Of course! Was it worth it? You bet!

I won't spoil the action sequences but God damn they're good! They constantly had me on the edge of my seat and there were even times I had to put down my phone and started pacing around before making a decision.

It also features the found family trope which is truly a guilty pleasure of mine. You get to bond with your crew while committing felonies and taking down the Mafia! Peak bonding moment right there.

PLUS THERE ARE SO MANY RO's. I think there are currently 9+ and apparently? more to come. Imagine playing a different RO's route every week *chef's kiss* All of them are so detailed and the flavor of each romance is impeccable. It's hard to choose only one but Gabriel has my heart ❤️ , However, Michael? I am respectfully looking 👀👀👀

Book 1 has been out for some time now and Book 2 is currently in the works. PLEASE please give this game a try because IT'S WORTH IT!!!

This man can sweep anyone off their feet, literally and figuratively and I'm just imagining my detective being plucked from the grasps of UB and just starts singing 'A Whole New World' right off the bat instead of calling for help.

Listen, you can't expect me to not like this character. He's polite, somewhat considerate, tall, dark, handsome, angst-ridden, most likely has a tragic backstory, tries to kidnap the detective, and possible redemption arc. Need I add that his name is SIN?!?!?! Knock me down with a feather!

Carl AU Ideas

Sci-fi! Sorry, I couldn’t not come up with a sci-fi au for our dear computer and star trek nerd. I can see him being a quiet, but genius, guy living on a space station. Then something happens (some classic evil aliens, other humans, inside sabotage, you get it, classic), and him and his group of friends have to save the day. Full of plot twists, a romance, and delicious tension. Yes please!

I would love to read a Carl fic set during the 1960. For some reason I just think he’d really enjoy the music, slowly growing to be part of the civil rights movements (maybe through a girl?), participating in the 1968 protests. Basically the film ‘Across the Universe’ but make it Carl, it’d suit him so well.

For more modern takes, I think a University AU would really work with him. Carl being shy and timid, but also working hard and dedicated to reach his goals, perhaps feeling like he’s missing out on the fun uni experience he’s heard so much about. Then he meets her... Someone who makes him learn to live a little, and have fun!

Another AU idea could be him as a grown man, maybe in his late thirties with a successful tech company. He’s had plenty of fleeting relationships, usually with pretty models, but none of them really spoke to him – he’s basically Bruce Wayne lol. Then, at a big tech conference, he meets someone brilliant, but with a completely different view of the world than him, and he can’t stand her (while also admiring her so much) - cue a Carl enemies to lovers!
