Star Wars Prequel Appreciation Week

{Favorite Side Character } → Mace Windu.

Mace Windu was a Jedi Master who was the most senior of the Jedi during the final years of the Galactic Republic, after Grand Master Yoda. It was Master Windu who led two hundred and twelve Jedi into combat at the Battle of Geonosis and slew the infamous bounty hunter Jango Fett. In the final days of the war, Windu and other Jedis confronted Palpatine. The three other Jedi were all slain by Sidious, leaving only Windu to duel the Sith lord. (x)

“Obi-wan, I have something to discuss with you, if you have the time.”

A statement that was less hopeful than it should have been. For who amongst them had any time these days? Mace could recall days dedicated to teaching younglings patience, whole star systems traversed in an effort to temper his Padawan’s energetic heart. And now, what Jedi could spend time on such things, when their time was no longer theirs to weigh? One thought, amongst many, that occupied his mind in the quiet hours. 

“I would appreciate your opinion.” Because, at the very least, he could maintain some manner of normalcy and tradition in the Temple. Some of their teachings, he could still adhere too. When in doubt, ask for help.

You know that thing where you insist you’re going to do something but it never happens? Yeah I’m sorry Mace u were part of that. 

Happily I finally DID come back and I watch the Clone Wars in the mean time and I’m bOUNCING with star wars nonsense so I’m gonna pull my socks up and get back to this poor auld man >8|

The library is full of gentle noise, Jocasta Nu’s imperious voice rising above the general chatter as younglings scurry dutifully about the databases. His hands brush ponderously across the star map screen, focusing on his task as he filters through the galaxies and tries to pinpoint a specific area amongst the chaotic clusters.
