I try not to deviate from my limited material choice, I find the limitation allows for a more unlimited stream of ideas to be formed. - Daniel Agdag
All we see is not directly visible, but isn’t hidden either. While statements are made of words, what we see is first of all light and shadow. What is the relationship between what we see and what we talk about? We can believe that we talk about what we see, that we see what we talk about, and thus that the two are linked, when in fact what is visible can only be seen, and what is expressible can only be said. - Marcos Beccari
I try to make a work in the street that’s very different to the images that we are used to seeing in the streets, that are generally advertisements with colours that are very powerful, very strong, impacting your eyes. Big images, contrast, stuff like that. I think that’s saturated our brains, all this information, we don’t need that. - Borondo
My photographs do not have a subject or a theme. When my feeling and the thing I’m watching match, I press the shutter. That's all - Yamasaki Ko-Ji
Don’t be obsessed to make your style, your expressions, your lines. You are already an artist, just be yourself - Saera
I'm always kinda happy when there's still some paint on my fingers a few days after I work on a project - Andreas Preis
I’m never too happy with my work. I spend too many hours staring at every piece to ever enjoy it again, for one thing. And, in speed or skill, my work is never at the level I’m reaching for, the level I know I’ll reach someday. So, every finished piece is just motivation for me to hurry up and improve! - Sarah Webb
I enjoy creeping around the city a lot, you can find so many strange and alien places there and feel like a big explorer with a bike as your spaceship - Matthias Heiderich
It isn't until all of our drawing is done that we scan it into the computer and do some final cleaning up in Photoshop. Then we print separations (the image from which each screen for each color of the poster will be made) and start printing. - Landland
I needed to leave my hometown. I had recently turned 26 and felt an internal panic that I was going to die there, that I wasn’t going to ever find whatever I was looking for there. That might sound dramatic, but I really felt that way and I knew I had to take off. Obviously, leaving family and friends and everything I’d ever known was tough but it was necessary. I feel like I’ve grown so much in the last few years in ways that would have been impossible had I stayed. - Timothy J. Reynolds.
[Paper] is minimal and intricate. It reflects light, creates depth and illusions in a way that it takes the artist through a journey with limitless possibilities - Hari & Deepti
Lately I find myself focusing harder on the work I love, rather than the work I have to do, and it's beginning to pay off. It seems like a slow burn at first, overcoming some of the obvious obstacles, but acting without hesitation is very powerful. These experiment posts are a small tribute to me learning from others, experimenting, and continuing to pair passion and persistence to my work. - Joey Camacho
Anyone got a wall in the ocean I could borrow? - Hula
i’m a man who’s trying to philosophize with roller and paint - Qbic
It all sprouted from our first client, the West Hollywood music venue “Troubadour”. We over heard that they were looking for poster artists so we submitted some designs to them for upcoming shows as a pitch. They dug our work and from there we continued to create posters for their shows. They paid for the printing, we designed for free. It was a win win situation since what came out of it was dozens of portfolio pieces that sparked the interest of other clients. - DKNG Studios
I don’t think I’ve ever set out to make a painting as it eventually turns out. I know it sounds strange but each piece is like an adventure. I’ll start with a base idea of subject but as things go wrong with the work (and they always do) I’ll modify the original plan to either accommodate those ‘happy accidents’ or totally obliterate the mistakes. The way I work involves a great degree of patience and the acceptance that what makes a painting work is more or less out of my own hands. Paintings will sit on the studio walls for ages while I’m waiting for the moment of realising what’s pissing me off to suddenly turn up. - Guy Denning
I’ve always been interested in image making ever since I was a kid. I was attracted to the idea of making images which take life in animation and to the idea of designing a whole visual concept of a film - Burcu Sankur
