Bio
Daniel Parker grew up with parents that were constantly moving. His father had a restless spirit and was never good at taking orders and his mother.. well, restaurants were competitive and the hours weren’t conducive to raising a child. It was safe to say that Daniel had inherited his fathers restless spirit and he loved all the places they stayed. None of them were ritzy by any means. They ranged from motels to dingy apartments. Daniel would always manage to make a couple friends but they never lasted because before he knew it. He was moving again. Whenever he’d get frustrated and sad his dad would always pick him up and tell him all sorts of stories in a makeshift blanket fort he made. It was always a story of an adventurer who did amazing almost impossible things.. the people he’d meet and things he’d find. It always made Daniel feel a little better about the moves when he felt down. Maybe he too would do impossible things someday.
One night, a few days into their stay at a new motel. Daniel heard his parents arguing, well mostly his mom as his dad tried to get a couple words in. Daniel’s father had lost his job working as a contractor. That was the last straw. It wasn’t his fault. His dad had tried to say, but she wouldn’t listen. It was over. He had promised he would keep this job. That things would get better. The next night little Daniel was being dropped off somewhere and his parents.. never came back. The orphanage was quick to take him in. There was no way they could leave him alone he was just a boy.
Daniel was devastated and incredibly confused. Something must be wrong. His parents wouldn’t just leave him. He screamed and argued that they had to let him go. He had to find his parents. He had screamed himself hoarse and passed out from exhaustion. Overtime as he grew much older the hurt never went away. Daniel once again made friends though , he took on the role of entertainer and big brother to other kids younger than him and would get many warnings when he got the kids too rambunctious. He would have all the kids entranced with his stories and jokes. Someday, he told himself.. he’d go on a big adventure and he’d love it.. he never could decide if he also would try to search for his parents. In the end he always decided no. No, if they wanted him they would have come back.
The time came when Daniel finally aged out. It was really hard to say goodbye. The kids had become family. Family, in Daniel’s opinion anyway, wasn’t defined by blood and his home wasn’t defined by any buildings.
Daniel traveled all over and kept logs of each place he saw. He felt free just as his dad had said and he had become awfully good at theft as we went.. Now Daniel finds himself in a place he had never knew existed. Prism Falls. He doesn’t plan on staying. It would go against everything he stood for but he was going to enjoy every bit before his next journey and maybe eventually they’d write a book about him or heck he’d write one himself. The adventures of.. well.. he’d come up with a name.
Para sample:
Daniel hid in one of the pantries and put on a chef jacket. He had slicked his hair back and m iced with ease through the other cooks as closing time began. The smell of food was intoxicating and it certainly shouldn’t go to waste. Quick like a fox he took another plate this one a delicious pasta bowl and when the staff was not looking, he slipped out the back door with a plate and sat in one of the back alleys enjoying the delicious food and the night sky.
It was quiet moments like these that allowed Daniel to think back to happy memories with his parents. He couldn’t help wonder.. where are they now? Do they miss him? Do they think of him at all? Daniel didn’t ever plan on being a parent. If he was… he’d never do what his parents did to him. He finished eating and threw on his old jacket. It was dark green and had deep pockets for his notes and drawings from the other kids from the orphanage and set off to his new discovery.
Connections:
• cruella de vil → she's the whole reason you're in prism falls. you're not exactly sure how she found out about you, but you've never been the one to ask those questions. as long as you walk away with what you deem fair pay, you're always happy to keep quiet. but now that you're here and the task is ahead of you, you're starting second guess yourself and what you're doing for the first time.
• robin hood → you hadn't expected a place like this to have it's own resident thief. and as it turns out, there seems to be a whole gaggle of them and they were protected by the law itself. so one more couldn't hurt, right? wrong. or at least that's what he told you. he flashed his shiny badge and made clear to you that you weren't welcome, but his threats feel as empty to you as your next victims pockets
• rapunzel → she's got spunk and you like it, admire it even. but the way she looks at you with large, hopeful eyes, it's like you mean something to her that you don't understand. you can't help but feel as though you should put some distance between the two of you, for both of your protection, but you can't seem to actually put the plan into action. telling her goodbye feels less like an option every day, but you've got to leave eventually, right?
• merryweather → there was once a time you would have said you felt as though you could swipe anything, no matter how risky, but suddenly it seems like since you've gotten to the valley you might have let your touch slip. she was probably the last person you expected to be caught by, but she had and you aren't afraid to admit it impressed you. and you're just thankful she didn't press any charges
