Fallen Ancients AU:

Instead of defeating the beasts, the ancients become corrupted one by one. Dark Cacao Cookie has given in to apathy and is spending his days at the Ivory Pagoda while slowly turning into flour, Golden Cheese Cookie made a deal to stay with Burning Spice Cookie in order to protect her kingdom, Hollyberry has decided to stay in the garden with Eternal Suagr, and Pure Vanilla Cookie has isolated himself in the spire of shadows.

Corrupted White Lily Cookie may or may not be added as well depending on how their beast yeast episodes play out.

Just got to level 8 affection with Elder Faerie

First of all, yes Elder Faerie. Your story is hard to believe, cause it’s all bullshit and you know it

Second of all, this might be one of the most interesting of his CookieChats yet

It’s kinda refreshing to see that Elder Faerie has actually questioned his mission once or twice, considering we’ve mostly seen him going “I will literally die to keep the beasts sealed”

and now I really need someone to give this man a hug. Like no, you don’t have to be ashamed of having very normal thoughts and emotions T_T

Everyone is talking about how the Ananas Dragon update is gonna while I'm over here wondering who is going to be Ananas's VA.

I honestly never really thought about what any of the ovenbreak characters would sound like. But I absolutely adore Timekeeper’s voice, so I’m sure it’ll be fine

I wonder who will be fighting who though. We know Night Raven is going against Ananas... but which dragon is fighting the others?

I honestly have no idea. If they can manage to fix Pitaya, I could see them going against fire spirit I guess. However, I would actually like to see longan beat the shit out of shadow milk because “how dare a mere cookie do that to a dragon”

Of course! It’s about time we finally get another dragon in kingdom. It’s been like 3 years since snapdragon?

I'm more worried about the Legendary Guardians of Nature right now. I have to wonder, are these OUR Guardians of Nature ... or are these from Shadow Milk's Tampered Timeline Guardians of Nature? It would explain why Frost Queen Cookie (My Favorite of the Legendary Cookies and Frozen Queen) is not shown, but it wouldn't explain Stormbringer Cookie not being there, since she seems to be as old, or younger than Millennial Tree Cookie. So ... this becomes complicated on who is from which timeline.

Well since Smilk seems to be opening a rift in the ultimate oven, I would assume they’re alternate timeline guardians, but we can’t know for sure until the update comes out

So maybe I’m overreacting and it could very well just be a fancy psychedelic-looking background, but should we be worried about that giant bug/flower looking thing behind the ultimate oven?

So remember how I said Fallen Ancients Pure Vanilla is slowly getting more unhinged the more I start planning his part of the story? I think I’m finally getting a more solid idea for that

So we have Shadow Milk who is determined to throw a big enough tantrum to get the witches to notice him & Pure Vanilla who already (nearly) lost one friend to the witches and also has a savior complex on top of that. You see what I’m getting at?

Anyway, these are Revenant (or Rev for short) and Olivia

I've had these 2 for years at this point, but I haven't actually done anything with them yet (other than like 3 comic pages I never uploaded and a creative writing assignment in university)

The general idea is basically: Olivia gets raised for the sole purpose of being used a sacrifice for a local vampire, but wow, turns out that vampire is also kinda of a victim of circumstances and she's actually chill

Also they're both trans and in a queerplatonic relationship, because why not?

If I remember correctly eternal sugar mentioned reeducation in canon when pavlova didn't let hollyberry leave.

Is that where you took that from?

Yes, it was!

Clearly it is something Pavlova has either gone through before, or at least been threatened with, so I figured now would be a good time to bring that up again

Here are Elizabeth (who you might've seen before), and her cat/adoptive brother Noir

And something funny I've noticed now that I've redrawn these 2 is that they seem to have gotten a bit cuter/chibier compared to 2 years ago? (It's a bit more noticable when comparing the full refs lol)

Maybe the cookie run chibiness is starting to affect my regular human art too haha

Also, after that I wanted to compare all of Elizabeth's old refs for fun

Fallen Ancients lil silly thing and scenario(s) that popped in head cause of other asks:

Salt learning Lily is the new Faerie Queen and Elder Faerie is gone, so he just has to kinda let her go be Faerie Queen while she’s burnt cause the Faeries still need a leader and she just kinda has to drag him with her to the kingdom.

Lily dragged Salt with her cause she feels a kinda… connection, i guess? a compelling feeling to bring him with her, whether it’s the faintest bit of her soul jam or the soul of a passed mutual friend compelling her isn’t all that important (it probably is important), but she follows the compelling feeling.

some of the Faeries probably still remember him and they have a big party cause that’s what the Faeries usually do.

Faeries celebrating the return of Lily and Salt, Lily cause she’s the Faerie Queen and Salt cause he’s an old ally that they know Elder Faerie would still trust.

some of the Faeries still referring to Salt as “Lord Commander” while he’s half-heartedly trying to stop it cause he “doesn’t deserve that title anymore”. he’s trying to hate it but he just can’t cause it reminds him of back during the days when he was a Virtue and it makes him slightly smile behind his helmet.

Lily still being able to be Faerie Queen, even when burnt. she’s much, much more morally gray than DEC is, and more morally gray than Elder Faerie was, and is just kinda vibin. her hero complex has sky rocketed and she keeps trying to do things by herself, but she’s still atleast partially kind.

Tbh, I've never been a super big fan of White Lily becoming the new leader of the Faeries. Maybe temporarily while the beasts are still a threat, but after that? Probably not

I actually quite like the ending they got where a lot of the faeries end up leaving the kingdom and go explore the world for the first time in their lives instead

what brush do you use for your lineart?

For Fallen Ancients I use this brush. I'm pretty sure it was a custom brush that someone posted here on Tumblr at some point, but I cannot find it anymore :,3

And then for my non-comic art I just use the standard firealpaca "watercolor flat brush"

For both of those I draw everything and then go back with an eraser to thin out/clean up some of the lines

(And if I'm talking about brushes anyway, this is the one I mainly use for shading)
