Two adults and a child, all of the same family, were stabbed to death at an in-home daycare.

Per Facebook reports from neighbors, the man stabbed his wife and child.

But that is not verified yet by police. Police have only acknowledged that it was a couple and their baby.

A parent witnessed the killing and called it in. But it sounds like other kids witnessed it.

I'll defer to the Cultural Heritage department over at the Cherokee Nation, but I understood that traditional Cherokee had peace chiefs and war chiefs.

Peace chiefs administered the community during times of peace, and then a war chief dedicated to battle tactics and warrior preparation took over during times of war.
