For the anon who wanted audition advice, they could sing I'm Not That Girl from Wicked

Hey so I'm auditioning for Into The Woods and I'm an alto and I have to prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theater piece, any ideas?

I'm able to sing comfortably on stage for musicals, but I'm terrified to simply stand and sing in front of people. I'm taking this voice class with my school and I don't know how to handle singing before people like that. Any advice?

Perhaps start with singing in front of people that you know care about you, like your mom, dad, and close friends. I'm sure you're amazing! You just got to get confidence in you. Once you get comfortable singing in front of them you can slowly transition into singing in front of people you may not know. But honestly, it sounds like this class is going to help you get rid of that fear itself. :)

I was recently cast into a Musical theatre Company and the theme is "Chart Toppers". Songs that have been in Broadway shows and have also crossed over as mainstream pop chart hits. Think of music from shows like Mama Mia, Jersey Boys, Motown, Beautiful, etc. Do you have any suggestions?? If it helps I'm a baritone
