An introduction...

So, let me be honest here. I'm not really a starving artist. In truth, I live in a small, boring town composed mostly of college kids and old people. I'm currently a senior in high school and am aiming to be on a track for the Biomedical field. So, as you can see, I'm not starving, but I am a kind of artist. I used to draw when I had the time, but now I am way too busy to even have a thought of artistry cross my mind. It's sad really. Anyway, I want to introduce the other part of me. My alter ego, if you will. Her name is the Starving Artist. She wishes to see far away places and live off a meager salary of 15,000 a year. She yearns to live in an shack in some rainforest and create works of art all day. She's a dreamer, but one that cannot support a family or build a home. And while one might think I'm killing this dream by pursuing a career of science, they are wrong. My career path is just as much a dream to me as this life of starving artistry. Learning the causes of the masterpiece called the Universe is just as much an art form as painting or drawing. Science is not as technical and ugly as one might think. It is actually quite beautiful.
